Good. They cancel all the good shows, and I'm so mad that they renewed The Society for a second season, left it on a cliff hanger, and then cancelled it after the renewal and blamed the pandemic. Ridiculous. They really are garbage now.

As they should, I only use it to rewatch Stranger Things & Sabrina and my guilty pleasure Cobra Kai

I have all of the other services and aside from Peacock, Netflix is the one I use the least. Hulu >>>>

Deserved :clap3:

I used to watch House Of Cards on repeat because that's one of my favourites series. However, the last series I watched it was Squid Game several months ago. I haven't consumed Netflix since then and I think I won't watch anything else until The Crown 5th Season is realeased, so... Perhaps, I should cancel my subscription as well :celestial5:

I still pay for it but haven’t really used it since like October/November.

even Ozark I can’t bother to watch, I watched the first 15 minutes of this current season and haven’t been back. :biblio:

It's what they deserve. Came back to watch Squid Game and immediately cancelled afterward :giraffe:

People are going back to good old piracy :clap3:

Netflix is what happens when quantity is prioritized over quality. Their content library is massive and yet there's maybe only a handful of must watch originals at any given time. Finding something to watch on Netflix outside the big names is just scrolling through endless heaps of junk and hoping maybe you'll find a diamond in the rough that won't get cancelled after the first season. Then the audacity to continually raise prices while the content continues to decline - I'm surprised it's not more.

I still use Netflix, they have pretty entertaining content minus the documentaries... they can chill out making those. Netflix is getting expensive if you dont want watch potato quality content

I would cancel too if I didn’t get it for free ?‍♂️

It's what they deserve for cancelling sense8, The OA, The Society, and now Archive 81

N*tflix is full of GARBAGE shows and movies.

1) Cost of living is on the rise in many countries, so streaming services are obviously the first thing to go

2) Pretty much all their original content has been garbage lately

3) They raise their prices all the time

This is likely the main reason, but all of your points are accurate.

It's been sad but a bit unsurprising to see Netflix's slow but steady demise the past decade.

10 years ago, it used to be THE movie/show streaming entity, but what with everyone and their mother pulling their content from them year by year the past 5 years or so to put on their own streaming services and Netflix scrambling to fill the subsequent ever growing content gap with their own original content, often times in favor of quantity at the expense of quality...the only surprising thing here to me is that they're just now starting to see a downtick in subscribers.

I personally haven't actively used Netflix since like...2019 maybe? HBO Max, Hulu, and Disney+ pretty much do it for me when it comes to film/television streaming — I imagine a similar sentiment is shared by many, and I wouldn't be shocked if their subscriber loss starts to speed up.

All this being said, I'd actually prefer it go back to how it was before, with Netflix the King of Streaming. Pretty much everything you could want to watch all on one service at one price — wasn't that one of the biggest draws of streaming when this all started? The fact we let these companies turn it into cable 2.0 almost is just...:biblio:
