discussion 'Sonic 2' earns more on its second Monday than FB3's first

In a very rare move, the #2 movie of the weekend (Sonic) beat the #1 movie (Secrets of Dumbledore) on the Monday right after. This means Secrets of Dumbledore's first Monday in theaters made less money than Sonic 2's second Monday in theaters.

 

Imagine telling someone a decade ago that a Sonic the Hedgehog movie will make more money than a new movie in the Harry Potter franchise.

Sonic 06 was not Adventure 3 as it was not released on all consoles, did not include chaos, and was ripe with flaws something the adventure series is free of. We don’t claim 06

Her screenwriting has been ATROCIOUS on this series. Literally on the level of mediocre fan fiction. They need to get someone who actually knows how to write an original screenplay.

Oh yeah. I even thought the first Fantastic Beasts movie was mostly a mess, but my friend who loves HP even said Grindelwald was a disaster. They really need to demote JKR and take this series in a whole new direction.

They are destroying the HP legacy with these nonsense FB movies. There is no magic in these movies and the plots are so pointless and low stakes. Like I care for NONE of these characters and I am the biggest HP fan. This third movie struggled for a light moment or even a lovely cinematic shot. JKR, Yates, WB and the whole lot are just devoid of any new ideas.
