It was like an 80 to 90% decline per era and it happened so fast

Definitely Katy me thinks, she went from being the biggest pop star in the world in 2013/2014 to chart in the bubbling under, maybe in the 90-100 range if she's lucky. 

Adele did decline but 21 was one of the biggest eras ever, there was no way she would maintain that kind of success, she's still able to get #1 songs and albums so she's still very successful. 

Katy’s freaks me out and there’s got to be something going on behind the scenes. It’s not like she radically deviated from what she was already doing (I will never believe that the blonde pixie cut had that much of an effect). She must’ve pissed off someone in power big time.

BTW sold 1M first week and she has had 1 true hit per an album since. CTTR barely went multiplat and is the only Top 10 hit Katy has had from a studio album since Prism/Artpop and Witness has barely hit platinum after years.
