The London critics doesn’t seal anything when Condon and Keoghan also won :toofunny3:

Beau is Afraid is not getting any attention next year. I've seen the script and that movie is wayyy too crazy to get Oscar buzz

The same could've been said about EEAAO

The thirst over Paul Mescal is truly baffling.

He’s ok but you would think he’s serving Marlon Brando or Brad Pitt looks :skull:

He's a quite charming, sensitive actor. That's a big, big plus and one of the main reasons why people are drooling over him.  Watch his movies/shows.

This is WILD: Jackie Chan was offered Michelle Yeoh's role first in Everything Everywhere All At Once :deadbanana4:

Definitely wouldn't have had the same impact.

We've known this for like a year .

Michelle was initially going to play Jackie's wife.

Nice to see the erasure of women. Iron lady was written and directed by women, unlike a lesbian movie made by a ciswhitestraightman. Which hopes to follow in the footsteps of cates film made by an old white man who groomed his asian stepdaughter

Roman Holiday

The nerve of anyone calling EEAAO basic but stanning Tar. I've seen like ten versions of that movie.

Hoping for Todd Field to win Director and Tar/Fabelmans to win BP.

EEAAO will have award trajectory like Boyhood. It will walk away with only Supporting win.

hm, didn't u try last year with the erasure of women slamming Best Picture winning Producer Legend Frances by basically saying that she gets these opportunities because of her... husband?

The Fabelmans kinda coming back to snatch after everyone doubted it. I think it's still the most likely for BP

you were the one who tried it by dragging a movie based on not its producer or director or writer or actor.

But anyway:

Is The Tragedy of MacBeth by Joel Coen related at all to Frances McDormand's husband Joel Coen? yes

Is her 1st Oscar for Fargo by the Coen Bros related at all to Frances McDormand's husband Joel Coen? yes

Is her film debut Blood Simple by Joel Coen related at all to Frances McDormand's husband Joel Coen? yes

Those specific opportunities were obviously relevant given that the film we were talking about was MacBeth, and the others are her film debut and her first Oscar, since we were talking about Oscars. If you feel that he has nothing to do with those films, that's your choice.

And I was talking about writer-directors, which would be in fact Joel Coen in those cases. Clearly he didn't act as Frances, so you're just randomly talking about anything really.

Hopefully the woman whose first Oscar was for playing a woman who did this doesn't then rob an Asian legend:
