I think a movie that wins Director and Screenplay, even acting, it should be granted the Best Picture award, if it's not it was clearly because there where political/social reasons behind it. Everything typical awards bait isn’t. It could have just as easily not happened and probably wouldn’t have if it didn’t have a star as big as Cate with a performance as excellent as the one she gave.
