Legend Frances went 0 between her 2nd and 3rd. Besides, that was not my point - Carol (and Tár) for Blanchett are critically lauded, revered performances and the combined strength of those two amount for her chances at a third that is soon to be seen at a much greater degree than Meryl's regular namechecks. However, the misquote is not: I did jot say that two losses make someone overdue for an Oscar. I said that the two high profile, win-competitive, remembered for years to come nominations by Blanchett could make the Academy feel that she is overdue.
