Beautiful game, as is what they did with the Nordic mythology. However, the story was literally a carbon-copy of The Last Of Us.

Personally, as I grow old, I find that the nostalgia and the aesthetic of the second generation are enough for me to want to return to them much more often than I return to HGSS. It’s just a very different overall feeling despite being roughly the same setting and story. The feeling of GSC, to me, is a little more mellow, melancholy, adventurous, mysterious etc at different points - it’s the same painting but made by a different artist. One of the most important factors to me is also the original GSC soundtrack, which I strongly prefer over the remakes, even when you can get the GB Sound (which is only once you have all 16 badges anyway). Crystal is an unmatched experience that only gets sweeter with time.
