publikcitizen Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 We love this #1 hit song. Not everyone has that
Flexus Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 I know we were all expecting the #1 but not being here for it sucked how’s the race looking for next week?

I think is high likely that AIW keeps the #1 in the UK. In the US, it looks kind of complicated for this week, maybe with the boost from Coachella and the streams from FC slowing down a bit (at least in Spotify), he can go back to #1 next week.

I think Jack is going to overtake the top in the US, but the Coachella performance will have Harold snatch it again

Eric. Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 I like that songs with this indie/dream pop sound are becoming successful. Hopefully this ushers more diversity to radio and mainstream music in general. It's quite reminiscent of what Lower Dens, Ducktails and Real Estate were doing about ten years ago. Specially "To Die In L.A."

Specially "To Die In L.A." Harold opening barriers for indie acts Also really love the Real Estate comparison cause I didn't think about it till you mentioned it, but yuh

I have the impression they are/were planning to release the second single along with the album since they already filmed the mv. I'm not sure if they expected the numbers/stability that AIW is showing though. Also, they did a great job with WS as post-album single so looking forward to seeing the rollout for Harry's House

canyonmoon Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 (edited) Coachella is such a great (and deserved) opportunity for him. And going into it with a fresh global smash! This era will be massive—probably even more so than Fine Line (though we have to wait and see what other possible singles the album offers). Edited April 14, 2022 by canyonmoon
