Musicmajor Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Finished this the other day and what a let down this season was ugh. Season 2 was so so good, especially compared to whatever this rushed mess was. That being said, the obvious standouts were rahim and victors parents for sure. Hated the ending too ? this entire thing was rushed to hell and back. It was nice that it got to conclude and that it existed in the first place though.
getBusy Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 What kind of MEH was that ending???? Regardless of the quality of the seasons, this show deserved an over the top ending. Not this.
P!nk Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 I really enjoyed this season as a whole. It was just the last episode that, to me, felt super rushed. I am really going to miss this show though - I genuinely like most, if not all of the characters in this show and the warmth I feel whilst watching it, like a comfort blanket. Sad to see it go so soon but at least it got a proper ending.
LastKiss Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 I'm sorry but WTF was that final season Everything felt so rushed and the plot lines were all over the place Mia saying she didn't want to move to Palo Alto until she finished school just for 2 episodes later saying she's moving within a week coz that's what she wants Andrew having no other desire in life than being Mia's boyfriend Victor & Benji not being able to move on from eachother like if they'd been together for years when they dated for like 3 months tops Felix dating Pilar and then realising he see's her and the Salazar's more like a family than anything else Lake's problems with her mom being resolved in a 1min scene Isabel and Armando acting as if going freelance with 3 children to take care of is easy and the solution to their problems They really dropped the ball with this one huh
SchmoodRing Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 yikes all of the negativity here... i'm currently watching it because i forgot when it began airing and i'm on episode 2 so far so good
Augmented Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 You could genuinely write a dissertation on how disappointing this show ended up being. All I can really say is when the straight sidekick character in your attempt at a mainstream teen queer romance ends up being the most enjoyable, interesting and likeable to watch for nearly 3 seasons straight then you should know you’ve royally messed up
Quiqui4eva Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Pretty decent ending and IMO better than season two Cringy dialogue at times, but it’s always been that way.
Roberto Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 Yeah, the final was really rushed, especially the last episode, almost felt like watching a trailer or preview. I would have loved a Víctor/Nick ending because Benji was so damn problematic tho.
Roberto Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 And Rahim being annoying on S2 only to become the absolute star on S3. Legend things.
Uncatena Posted July 3, 2022 Posted July 3, 2022 getting through season three was a CHORE. Mia's character and the performance was highkey testing my patience.
Johnny Jacobs Posted July 7, 2022 Posted July 7, 2022 (edited) So I'm now on episode 3 and - Not me rooting for Benji since the pilot but when I saw the new hot guy I switched like Now I'm just pissed They better make him a douche so I won't seethe he's not endgame. Benji is getting on my last nerve with his bich behavior. Edited July 7, 2022 by Johnny Jacobs

youngpopariana Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 (edited) So I finally got to dive into season 3. Only took me 2 days to binge watch. Woo chile. The show went south quickly. The last episode didn't feel like a proper series finale. Outside of the carnival scenes, there was nothing memorable imo. I stared at my computer screen for like 5 mins once the ending credits rolled in becuz I couldn't believe what I just saw Edited August 8, 2022 by youngpopariana
genetic fail Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 They need to renew this for a fourth season where Victor is in college and getting banged every night
Europe Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 It's so sad he's straight. But also weird they cast a straight to play Victor.
Exodus Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 (edited) Finally got around to watching this. Echoing everyone else, expectantly rushed but they really did fudge up the season rehashing the same problems over and over. They should have used the last season to evolve the friend group. It would have been fun to see scenes with Victor and Lake or Mia and Felix...etc. Instead we got more of the same Benji drama and Mia trying to decide if she was moving every five seconds. She had such few scenes with anyone else, I had forgotten that she was with Victor in the first season. Lake should have ended up with Felix. The whole storyline with Lucy was random. Not a great final season, but doesn't do too much damage to tarnish S1. Edited October 17, 2022 by Exodus
