And yes, I agree with what someone said above, even though Armando had his bad moments, him and victor's mom were the best characters this season. BY FAR.

He really was the best character this whole season. He was actually enjoyable to watch.

Him and his boyfriend at the end are also an adorable couple.

Michael is such a bad actor. Like it took me three seasons to see how bad he is.

Victor and Benji are just the worst both separately and together.

Rahim, Felix, and Victor’s parents though… :clap3:

It's a better season than season 2 simply because a lot of the things in season 2 didn't flow, but a lot of the really dramatic moments felt REALLY underwhelming because of the writing and the fast-paced editing, examples being Mia and her mom and Lake and her mom (Mind you, this one had been a well set up conflict throughout the entire show and then they deliver this... )

Also, I'm sorry I just think that Victor should've ended alone or with new guy.

I really liked season 2. This season was clearly rushed...

Season 2 had some really good moments, mostly in the first half of the season, but the mood of the show suffered such a drastic shift. This season managed to regain that original mood of the first season but then it felt very rushed. For example, I absolutely loved the scene when Victor's mom actually attends her first PFLAG meeting, and the whole thing happens, like that was a heartfelt moment of guilt but well mixed with humor. I guess I never really thought about it from a parent's pov, what it must be like if they really struggled to come to terms with the whole thing and then when they finally accept it, do they look back on the way they behaved? Maybe because I'm not a parent, but I thought that was beautifully handled. But yeah, in order to properly develop most of the conflicts they set up here they needed a couple more episodes, maybe even 3.

The Lake thing with her mom scene is a joke, like an actual joke. And I didn't like that the Mia/Andrew thing was also rushed. I like everything they did with them but it just felt so rushed. One scene Mia was like nope, I'm gone, then the next time we see her she's like, "I'm gonna be brave." Writers, stop clowning. She's the best actor in the show and delivered in every scene, give this resolution the time it needs so it feels earned.

I liked the whole character development of Victor's mom a lot in the last season. Also Rahim was really cool Last season. This season he was more mopey. Writing was pathetic. Stupid reason for breakup between felix and Pilar and Andrew and mia...

I’m on episode 4 and damn, this season is so bad. Most of the characters are extra annoying and there’s close to zero real conflict.

I’m struggling to finish :chick3:

can Benji get hate crime’d already?

Sadly, this final season was a snooze. The subplots didn't amount to anything. New characters were introduced then just be used as plot devices soon after. What a terrible way to end the series. It's such a shame as I loved S1 and S2, flaws and all. I hope another network picks this up and makes a S4. :rip:

Nah. Let it rot. I’d rather new content get a shot. This series is bloated and has the burden of the Venji stans weighing it down. I think Victor as a character is so uninteresting that it should be left alone at this point. I’d rather the effort go to a new original queer IP.

The success and fandom of Charlie and Nick from ‘Heartstopper’ I believe shows that the biggest missed opportunity of this show was ‘Velix’.

Felix is by far the most popular character, he and Victor had the best chemistry on the show, the ‘Venji vs Velix’ debate would have lit up twitter and the message boards and kept interest in the show.

’Friends to Lovers’ versus ‘Getting the Hot jock’ romance cliches. Would have at least given the show some damn flavour, despite whatever ship they ended up going with.

The way they dropped the ball with this show

Welp, being fair season 1 remained the worst since it's where all the bullshit started. Mia shouldn't had been a lead and Benji could've been developed just as they did 2 seasons LATE.

This was meh. More bad and lazy writing, truly the writers believed they were making a telenovela by having every single character have a couple by the end, it's outrageous and cringy.

Victor felt more of a secondary character this season, but I'm not complaining since him, Benji and both as a couple are revolting. More Benji than anyone. I can't with brazilian Venji fans, they are to blam for supporting that trash which led to this outcome.

Have mixed feelings about Pilar and Felix but I guess that was the only surprising factor in the end. Lake and Lucy were cute but rushed. Mia and Andrew, boring. My poor boy Rahim deserved way more. Him and Felix were the best characters from the series, easily. And I agree, the parents had the best and more relevant plots that made this series worth catching an eye... until this season.

Can Benji stop being so ******* extra? :biblio: I'm on episode 3 and I'm definitely rooting for Rahim. :deadbanana4:

Finally finished this.  As most said, S3 was quite disappointing and you could tell they must've gotten cancelled halfway through shooting because everything was so rushed near the end.  I thought I liked Victor and Benji together, but by the end I was over it and simply didn't care anymore. :michael:

Hopefully more of these shows will be made though.  I think one where a closeted guy enters college and finally explores his sexuality/comes out would be cool since these are almost always based on high schoolers which limits the content.

I was so disappointed with this season :rip: It honestly felt like a chore to finish it and I haven't felt like that with a show I was invested in, in so long. It was just clearly rushed and uninspired. Gotta say I'm glad it's over and hopefully the Love ... saga is closed for good. Now give us queer content where they are in college, kinda like Greek but fully focusing on the queer storylines.

The authenticity is just not there imo, especially the actor of victor or maybe he's just a bad actor like someone's said above. Well, good thing we got Heartstopping to look forward to.

8 eps is way way too short

Overall a good ending and I will miss the warmth this series and characters have given for the past year

He really is. Like when he was high on drugs in that one scene at Mia’s party and then acted completely fine five minutes later. :rip:

the ending is honestly what Victor & Benji’s dumb asses deserved. hope they rot

I'm kinda blaming Heartstopper for the bad reception of this season. It was the worst one but still good and not that different from the previous seasons. Heartstopper is what we needed to watch on TV and not this lame show, I guess. :gaycat6:

Horrible ending, Victor ending up with Benji after all that was so predictable and so unnecessary. Kinda feels like they are glorifying a toxic relationship by putting them together. Victor and Rahim, Victor and Nick or even just Victor left single would have been so much more interesting. I'm kind of glad this show is over, the last few episodes of this season felt so rushed with them trying to end storylines.
