pxxxtrick Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Omfg this entire season was fantasic but the FINALE… whew! Spoiler Max’s bones breaking. Eddie’s death. El watching Max die. Anyways, Finn Wolfhard is a genuinely terrible actor and Mike needs k*lled off.
commander Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Spoiler Did Maxine really go blind? Man that was very awful to watch.
Oktober Knight Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Does anyone else think Hopper looked BETTER with weight on him? His daddiness has gone away
Elusive Chanteuse Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 The finale two episodes were so good. The ending scene gave me chills and so excited for next season.
Cryptique Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Max Spoiler It's kinda sus when she presented herself as a bait and i was like "they cant ******* kill her she's survived it already, it's repetitive".. but when i felt like she's dying and said that she dont wanna die i felt sad for her.. El brought her back through bringing her heartbeat back but when that happened I was like "what's the point of letting her live like a rotten vegetable".. twas a fvckn roller coaster Will,Jonathan and the Cali Group Spoiler As usual Will schnapped.. that car scene is just gut wrenching and that scene with Jonathan is just .. the Cali Group was so useless in Volume1 although they got the best Action Sequence ever during the shootout but in Vol2 they delivered aside from MIKE Russia Gang Spoiler I enjoyed them a lot in Vol1 specially with Murray and Dimitry is just HAWT.. In Vol2 i was so annoyed when they decided to go back to the prison to "HELP" and i was like "how is that HELPING".. But yup, they're actually HELPING.. when Murray burned the army of demigorgons Vecna felt it and it weakened him thus not escaping El's hold when we knew he's a lot more powerful than El Eddie Spoiler I think we all saw it coming, i was so annoyed at him in the first episodes and was like "he's ok i guess after Vol1" but in Vol2? he slayed and captured my heart with the way he cared for Dustin and when he played that guitar D*MN.. he slayed.. it's just fvxking sad how he died without clearing his name, a Sirius Black moment Hawkin's Gang Spoiler As usual they slayed.. for the Hawkin's Gang, i give Vol1 to MAX specially and Dustin, Steve, Nancy and Robin. For Vol2, it's Eddie and Lukas for me The parents Spoiler The parents are just useless or can i use useleast?? Cause who wouldve thought their parenting can go even lower Season after season?? El Spoiler El will always be the main star.. she's just IT.. and i gagged when she thought about piggybacking, that was so cool.. when she saw that piggyback signage i thought she'll be piggybacking the van and run from Nevada to Hawkins ?.. but d*mn she served again and truth be told i was most excited for El and Max's reunion so the piggybacking was so cool considering the distance.. i hope Max to wake up and see her bestie again Overall, i think this is the Best Season.. Great Villain, Great Plot Twists, Pure Horror and Gut Wrenching
New Edition Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Post-season depression has HIT What do I watch now? What do I do now? What do I eat? When do I sleep? This was such an event and now it's just over. Lemme stay up and wait for Queenie Grace's problematic review.
Blue. Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Spoiler Max better come back and with her sight on (and throw some power in because a ***** DESERVES).
Jagger Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Idk if it was just too dragged out or I'm just kind of over this show now but I found it meh. The pacing was snail level Did the writers never hear the phrase "kill your darlings"? It's ridiculous how nobody important can die. Max should've died and it ruined the entire episode that she didn't And I don't get the demogorgon fight. Weren't they super hard to kill and their skin was almost indestructible? How did Hopper cut off its limbs and head with a sword? Unless I'm remembering the lore wrong
Cruel Summer Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 That was a damn rollercoaster, what the **** Honestly I loved it. Spoiler However, a couple notes. I really think someone more significant should have died, and I feel like it should not have been Max. I’d accept Lucas, but I really think that they could have done done something brave with El dying. I almost thought they were about to do it when she said “no, you’re not going.” I thought they’d follow up with “I am.” But I get that’s she’s central to the marketing and as such can’t die before the final season’s climax, so whatever. I really think they did Max a little dirty, though, with that ending. Personally I think Sadie Sink is a legend with earth-shattering potential and I hope she gets some unbelievable roles after this season. I’ve always thought she was good (and the only good thing about Fear Street!) but she carried this season hard
fais_2311 Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 The young actors really slayed so hard with their acting. Sadie & Millie Noah Gaten & Caleb too Finn tho… wtf is that. So stiff, emotionless, useless. Worst actor this season
James_Dean Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 The way Eddie's death had me LITERALLY bawling but when it came to Max, I felt absolutely nothing I felt more for Lucas and his panic Jason the jock finally dying Literally hated him more than Vecna Hopper and Joyce not getting the opportunity to bang out their feelings. I know that man must be suffering from some severe blue balls lemme help you, king Mike... your acting... "it's unacceptable" -Lil Mama Dustin... lil king is constantly serving in all his moments Steve and Robin... love them, and thank god Mama Steve survived. Nancy Drew, we love you. Jonathan............................................................................................................................................................................. anyways. Will in those emotional moments concerning his sexuality whew! Especially that moment with Mike. I think some of y'all are too used to shows these days introducing gay characters and having them immediately be accepted by their crew. Will's inability or reluctancy to speak about his deepest feelings is very real and, while it doesn't give us instant gratification, very valid. Even tho he was the main subject of S1, he has been on the back burner for a while now- but the cliff hanger at the end kind of gives the impression he will have a bigger role in S5, so I am perched. Lemme go rewatch the fight scene with Vecna and experience those chills again
EriKills Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Rewatched all 4 seasons recently, and god Steve was SUCH an ******* season 1. I know he redeemed himself but Jonathan >>>> They ruined Jonathan's character vol 1 making him a loser + have been shoving the Steve redemption down our THROATS, but i really hope they keep Jonathan with Nancy, Jonathan was so good seasons 1-3, at least the writers redeemed him a little bit with that big brother talk with Will in V2. also mike just needs to die. he's insufferable.
mystery Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 (edited) My thoughts on what this means moving forward Max became the fourth victim because she died from her injuries even though Vecna's physical form was "defeated". This allowed Vecna to open the fourth gate and complete the countdown towards opening the final breach. When Max died her soul was consumed by Vecna like the previous victims but in this case her body was revived by Eleven, it is just missing her soul now. She is not like the other victims who have no physical form to go back to as their bodies are completely dead. A big plot point that I expect will happen in the next season is that Eleven will have to somehow do a heist into Vecna's mind to restore Max's soul into her body. It would also tie in to the overall plot of them needing a way to weaken the newly opened breach, this way the fourth death will be reversed and will help towards sealing it entirely. They almost killed Max this season, then they killed her & revived her in this finale. I don't think they will do it again next season, it would feel weird to just keep killing her on and off. This time she will stay alive. If this is the Empire Strikes Back moment of Stranger Things like the Duffers said then Max is the equivalent of Han Solo being frozen in carbonite and the main cast having to rescue him from Jabba the Hutt at the start of Return of the Jedi. When it comes to other characters I everyone has really tough plot armor but we won't be getting out of the final season without some sacrifices I am sure. I am also sick and tired of the plot of Jonathan and Nancy, they need to decide already if they want her to be with Steve or him. I am also interested to see where they are going with Will and his connection to Vecna and the upside down, it is still unclear how the upside down got frozen the day he disappeared but it must be connected to him. TayDine1989 Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 The final shot when Spoiler Theyre all lstaring at the dark clouds made me feel like ST is not a kiddie show anymore. Its giving me "IM THE MAIN B****" vibes
Rainy Devil Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 This was a really good season. Spoiler Nancy's plan was so stupid. She risked Max, got her killed and the in a coma and ***** just doesn't feel one bit of guilt? They totally failed at killing Vecna. Did they really expect he wouldn't know their plan? So stupid. I gonna be honest, I was really tired of the prison/russia plot. Like I just wanted it to be over. Eleven truly did her best. I'm so looking forward to the final showdown.
zaso Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 9 hours ago, Itz_Dani! said: I really don’t think Vecna is really dead. Hell be back in another form. yeah he's not i think it was revealed he's the mindflayer or controlling the mindflayer (and they didn't even explain that properly) so he will back as the main villain again
Gorjesspazze9 Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 What famous 1989 horror film will season 5 emulate? Since we are having a time-skip, the show will probably end on New Year’s Eve 1989 too. I’m saying Friday the 13th 4. Since it’s about a guy under a river murdering graduation teens. And that’s when the kids graduate. It will probably either be a graduation season, New Year’s Eve season, or Jason the final chapter type of season
mystery Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Also Finn Wolfhard is by far the worst actor out of the "kids" cast, he had absolutely no range this season.
Starkboy Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Episode 8 was kinda dragging (probably my least fave of fhe whole season) but damn the final one I cried like a baby for the final hour Spoiler First of all Steve is ******* alive yas king. I 100% knew one between him and Eddie was a goner, but damn the writers really wanted us to believe Steve was dying turned out Eddie was another character they introduced just to let him die in the same season. Honestly he had a great arc. They kinda redeemed Lucas and Jonathan in this 2nd half, while Will is still 'there' and Mike is still annoying as hell. He should have died but he won't. While as for Will they kinda teased a key role in the final season. Dustin slayed all his scenes as usual. I kinda wanted more Steve and Robin but hey, I know there are tons of characters. So they are going to push this triangle between Steve, Nancy and Jonathan in the final season. No idea what they are doing, it doesn't sound a great idea so far (and there's no way Nancy and Jonathan are not gonna be end game after spending 3 seasons building up their romance). Max's scenes were sad but they werent so impactful after volume 1 tbh. We kinda felt her pain in the past episodes. Some parts of the plot were kinda pushing it, like Hopper, Joyce and Murray going back into the prison just to hurt a few demos? Uhm.
Starkboy Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 Yeah Spoiler Max should have died. Spoiler She had a great arc, she survived once, why build all that just for her to be in a coma? If she suddenly wakes up its gonna be very dumb. If she stays on coma the whole 5th season until the last minutes its gonna be pointless as well. I have no idea why the hyped vol 2 with tons of deaths when at the end only Eddie died out of beloved characters (and it was a predictable one). Even Enzo made it out alive. Is he gonna be back? Uhm. Murray too. The lack of deaths kinda felt anticlimatic for the darkest seasons yet. Plus we still have tons of characters now and some will be surely done wrong due to limite run time.
