Think it'll do around $14-15.5M domestic in its 7th weekend. About $620M domestic total by Sunday.

$35-40M overseas 7th weekend. Should bring it to $1.475-1.49B by Sunday.

Global will reach $2.1B, give or take a few million, by Sunday.

Finally saw it earlier. Probably my worst movie experience ever. I was seated behind an entire row of kids, around 10 of them with their 2 guardians. They were loud af, not paying attention to the movie and some were even watching youtube videos, wtf!! Thank god they left early because the kids were hungry.

anyway, I’m kind of disappointed at the story. It’s basically Avatar 1 but with kids. But yeah, I understand that it’s an intro for the next movies, which I’m very excited to see. I just know Spider is going to be an amazing antagonist, I’m kinda rooting for him. :eli:

Here is how the chart changes after the fifth weekend:

The Way of Water if it grossed the same amount from Monday onwards as other films:

Titanic - 930,335,491
Avatar - 817,299,036
Top Gun: Maverick - 765,689,233
---------------------------------------------------------- current figures place it here with the same pace
Spider-Man: No Way Home - 674,620,588
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle - 665,633,478
Black Panther - 665,245,233
Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 650,108,332
---------------------------------------------------------- FLOOR (less than this is not happening)
Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring - 644,583,769
Jumanji: The Next Level - 631,332,335
Avengers: Endgame - 627,378,757
Avengers: Infinity War - 623,567,650
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King - 625,845,588
----------------------------------------------------------
Avatar: The Way of Water - 572,401,348

Choose your fighter! It seems like 675m is emerging as a really exciting figure for it as the movie is still outgrossing No Way Home daily with a decent gap between them. It seems like 675 - 725m might be a window for it.

Titanic - 922,249,725 - 1.9m
Avatar - 791,576,606 - 3.2m
Top Gun: Maverick - 743,527,055 - 6.3m

---------------------------------------------------------- current figures place it here with the same pace

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle - 666,703,607 - 700k

Lets get that 2.3b total yup. China also seems to be holding up well due to some local releases bombing and Avatar getting some screens back!

I'm always hearing customers at work talk about getting tickets for this movie. The way it really smashed among the GP. I know the chronically online are mad.

At this point it might surpass Titanic. If China didn't have Covid in December this would've hit 2.5b WW for sure :rip:

China will push this during February and early March , so I’m confident it will reach 2.5 - 2.8 billion

Domestic Wednesday down just 23% from last Wednesday. Expecting $15-16M this weekend. Overseas running amazingly, down about -10% from last Wednesday.  Let's increase the total by Sunday by $10M. $2.12B worldwide by Sunday probably.

Passed Avengers: Infinity War for #5 all-time on Wednesday also.
