skyandground Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 We love a good comeback story! Injured and couldn't play last year and now winning Wimby this year 1
JonRih Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 this mess she could’ve at least tried to dress up for her only ever slam trophy photoshoot but alas
fridayteenage Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 yes win that set king. now just try to practice actually having that stamina.
El_spokito Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 The new supreme Carlos better do what he gotta do!
TaylenaStan Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 The fact that it was THIS close with Djokovic obviously not being in his best form today He will be back
Khal Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 Might be better if Djokovic actually sticks around for a few more years, or we may have another Federer 03-07 on our hands with how much behind Alcaraz the other "next gen-ers" are.
pride4jc1222 Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 Congrats to Carlos. It's now time for Frances Tiafoe to win the US Open on the 20th anniversary of Andy Roddick's win.

TaylenaStan Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 That dumb volley in the 5th set when Djokovic had the break point That lost him all the momentum
Gui Blackout Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 The crazy thing about Carlos is that he's already this good at this age, but yet he still has so much room to improve. The potential is incredible.
Marla Singer Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 Carlos will definitely be an all time great, he's just amazing to watch and has great mental strength, and tennis really needed someone like him to rise up before the end of the Federer/Nadal/Djokovic era. Djokovic will still probably win a couple more slams, but thank god for Carlos or he would probably be getting over 30 GS titles.
