Leptine Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Even important media outlets in my country are reporting people getting sick after watching 'Terrifier 2'

Uncatena Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Terrifier is just gore porn for incels tbh, I can respect the special effects work but apart from that, its useless, misogynistic trash.
BeachRat Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Watcher (the movie, 2022) was actually SO good, indie thriller perfection. i am GAGGED! definitely recommended! i was scared as ****!

Roberto Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 (edited) This year has been kinda good for thriller/horror movies, hasn't it? Scream, Nope, Barbarian, Halloween Ends, Smile and The Invitation, all of them topped the Box Office at least 1 week. Nope being the #1 horror movie of the year until Smile takes its position. newuser Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Try to watch the first terrifier, Gosh the acting
Jay L Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Terrifier is a cult classic slasher and Terrifier 2 takes it to the next level with a great storyline and more character development( and even more violence ofc) You can tell with this one they are building a soon to be iconic horror franchise. I know it won't be for everyone but it's definitely worth checking out. Art The Clown is just that b*tch, if you get it, you get it, if you don't, you don't.

Reverse Warholian Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 (edited) Smidle was nothing remarkable, but a CUTE girl no less! Surprisingly effective sound design and really clever use of jump scares throughout. **partial spoilers** Spoiler One of the entity's iterations in the final act coincidentally reminded me of the creature design from Barbarian (streaming on HBO Max October 25th!) which was fcuking terrifying. At times it felt derivative of some infinitely superior films that came before (The Ring, It GODlows etc) and the only way it'll be remembered is if it spawns a franchise which I'm certain will happen given the box office success...but not bad! 7/10 Edited October 17, 2022 by Reverse Warholian

Indeed. So many horror films in the forefront this year are actually decent to good films. The BO dominance will prompt Hollywood producers to invest in crafting even more (hopefully original) quality contents for the upcoming years. The 2020s decade will be a SERVE i just feel it. The filler crap will always be here to stay but i’m hopeful in the direction that horror is going in.
