Seeing Smile at the cinema tonight for no reason other than to sabotage Halloween Ends' opening weekend box office! Will illegally hate-stream the latter title when I get home ???

What's so terrible about Terrifier 2? Why are there people vomiting and fainting on cinemas? Is it that disgusting? :deadbanana4:

The new one had one of the most brutal kills I ever seen in a movie. I loved it though

Even important media outlets in my country are reporting people getting sick after watching 'Terrifier 2' :deadbanana:

Terrifier is just gore porn for incels tbh, I can respect the special effects work but apart from that, its useless, misogynistic trash.

This year has been kinda good for thriller/horror movies, hasn't it? :jonnycat: Scream, Nope, Barbarian, Halloween Ends, Smile and The Invitation, all of them topped the Box Office at least 1 week. :jonnycat: Nope being the #1 horror movie of the year until Smile takes its position. :cries:

Try to watch the first terrifier, Gosh the acting

Terrifier is a cult classic slasher and Terrifier 2 takes it to the next level with a great storyline and more character development( and even more violence ofc) :WAP:

You can tell with this one they are building a soon to be iconic horror franchise. I know it won't be for everyone but it's definitely worth checking out. Art The Clown is just that b*tch, if you get it, you get it, if you don't, you don't.

Smidle was nothing remarkable, but a CUTE girl no less! Surprisingly effective sound design and really clever use of jump scares throughout.

**partial spoilers**

Spoiler

One of the entity's iterations in the final act coincidentally reminded me of the creature design from Barbarian (streaming on HBO Max October 25th!) which was fcuking terrifying.

At times it felt derivative of some infinitely superior films that came before (The Ring, It GODlows etc) and the only way it'll be remembered is if it spawns a franchise which I'm certain will happen given the box office success...but not bad!

7/10

Indeed. So many horror films in the forefront this year are actually decent to good films. The BO dominance will prompt Hollywood producers to invest in crafting even more (hopefully original) quality contents for the upcoming years. The 2020s decade will be a SERVE i just feel it.   The filler crap will always be here to stay but i’m hopeful in the direction that horror is going in.

honey, killer clowns and demons possessing people isn't the only thing that's scary (if those are scary at all lol).

nowadays i find scarier the human side of evil. the direction of Watcher, the acting of Burn Gorman, the shots cutting his face mid-through all the time were chilling. such an atmospheric film. it was very unsettling & upsetting. reminded me of old hitchcock-Psycho style. loved.
