It's a shame because Jill has single handedly ruined the prospect of having a viable third party with her Russian sponsored grifting. Bingo. I'm open to voting third party but not for that grifter that has been the head of it since I've been able to vote. She's done zero to expand or grow that party. Communion Posted October 21 Posted October 21 4 minutes ago, ClashAndBurn said: Jill Stein/Green voters just won't vote if there is no Green candidate on the ballot. Maybe they'll turnout for Claudia De La Cruz, but for the most part, it seems weird to demand they just get over the fact that the Democratic Party has made itself an accessory to one of the most morally objectionable and horrific things that it could possibly do (a genocide), and has pledged it will continue to even if Kamala somehow scrapes herself the most undeserved win of all time, having not even successfully faced the scrutiny of a primary. Β Nonvoters are generally the largest plurality of the electorate. The couch won over Hillary Clinton in 2016. Jill Stein didn't change that fact, but again. The Democrats can never fail. Only BE failed. Don't worry, the same people who told us 1) Biden was a still viable candidate, 2) Harris is going to easily sweep all 7 swing states by making appeals to 90s Republicans, and 3) taking a mad dash to the far right including campaigning for genocide is actually great for elections, etc. are going to assure us they're still right. Β Trust the process. Liz Cheney is collecting ballots in swing states as we speak.Β 1 2 1 1

That said, the Greens were screwed over by Cornel West acting like he was going to run as their candidate and then backing out at the last minute, leaving Stein to have to throw together an emergency campaign so that the Green Party could have anyone at all on the ballot. As far as I've heard, if they had just sat out an election and not ran anyone, that would make ballot access even harder to achieve in future contests. Which, hey, I guess many here would love that. But from their standpoint it would mean complete political annihilation for them when they already struggle against Democrats suing their candidates off the ballots and they don't have funding for legal defenses against that. 1 2
