The Republican Party was basically dying out with young people all leaving for Democrats but they turned that around in just 7 years which is insane. WSJ does a good job pointing out how Democrats focus on issues that mainly affect women, but it's pretty apparent that the cultural conversations that have been happening in the last decade really affected young people's mentality across the board. From Me Too to the Andrew Tates popping up, there's just a lot of gendered conversations going on and a desire to "retain masculinity" in a way. I don't even know where to go with that, or how one even begins to start unraveling that mess, but it's not something to ignore. I can only hope that this trend begins to die quickly once Trump is gone but I doubt it. 1 1
