I love the sound of IVE's teaser, it's such an unexpected sample but it sounds like they're going 3 for 3 on great pop songs. The 4th gen girl groups are kind of delivering huh

 

I also really love Jaehyun's solo, I did not expect classic mid-2000s pop/rnb from him but it's exactly what I wanted.

Hasn't even been a full 24 hrs and Attention is already back to #1...yeah that's what I predicted would end up happening. I think Korea is kinda over this sound in general.

 

OT: I can't lie.... I still hate the song but "this that pink venom" has been stuck in my head all day. Maybe Teddy won in the end

BP gave me nothing as usual. I can't believe they had the nerve of releasing DDDD Pt.4 AGAIN after a 2 year hiatus. I've never gotten the hype about them...but cute instagram pages, I guess. However, I REALLY liked Playing with Fire...that was a MEGA BOP.

 

Also...Biiiiiitch, I wasn't prepared for the absolute SLAYAGE of IVE's teaser. They really said "this is for the gays" and they're about to STOMP over all of our faves.

 

Next week's charts are gonna be a MESS with NewJennies, IVE, TWICE, SNSD, BP, those ballad hags that clogged the charts for weeks...the girls are really giving us everything this year. At one point this week, the entirety of Melon's TOP 10 was all girls...just what we deserved.

I think I’m alone in this one but NewJeans somehow truly feels like the actual beginning of the 4th gen of K-Pop.
