Klein Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 We as a fanbase should come together to give this song its deserved flowers.

It kinda proves Taylor works better when she's restricted. She usually has a lot of ideas and most of the time they don't work well together when she works freely. Like, Anti-Hero and Bejeweled could've been great videos without all the unnecessary scenes and overkill of easter eggs.

simmnfierzig Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Midnights might be #2 on the BB200 next week. Probably not as new releases tend to do a bit better than initially predicted, but maybe
Kyle-x Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 In 2 weeks, Speak Now will have charted longer in the UK this year than it did in its initial promotional cycle. The album debuted at #6 in 2010 and charted for 7 total weeks before departing. The album then re-entered the chart at #98 once the Speak Now World Tour reached the UK and charted for another week after that for a total of 9 weeks in those 2 runs. The album re-entered this year at #87 when The Eras Tour began and is currently at #23 in its 8th week of charting in 2023. It's the highest position this album has been at since it fell to #22 in its second week of charting back in 2010.

I can’t speak for the rest of the venue, but I don’t think prices went up too much from the previous tours. I paid very close to the same amount for floor seats for both the 19Katy9 and Reputation tours. Eras Tour… $720 for two tickets in the lower bowl Her demand definitely went up but there has also been a universal increase in demand for live shows after the pandemic, people are itching to get out of their houses now.
Jaspurr Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Blasted Vigilante **** in the car today. What an underrated song. If you get it, you get it.
Jaspurr Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Then a rain shower started and I put on Midnight Rain. An experience. MID is kinda perfect for night time driving in general. The synths are synthing differently.
Kyle-x Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Ireland has kind of always stanned harder than the UK. She's had weeks of charting her entire discography there since as far back as 1989 era, including debut! 1989 was her first album to cross 100 weeks of charting in the UK but both Fearless (108 weeks) and Red (161 weeks) did it in Ireland before that. Speak Now will have cleared 60+ weeks of charting by the time the TV comes out compared to a pitiful 20+ weeks in the UK. Even debut managed to chart there for 11 weeks versus a measly 3 weeks in the UK. Ireland is the country with the second most weeks 1989 has charted after the US. reputation just recently crossed 100 weeks in the UK but it's coming for 200+ weeks of charting in Ireland. Lover has never departed the chart while it has spent 16 weeks off of the UK chart. The lowest position folklore has ever reached in Ireland was #54 versus #71 in the UK, there has only been like 3 or 4 weeks where folklore was lower on the Irish chart than on the UK chart. evermore has only left the Irish chart for 4 weeks versus 20 weeks in the UK. Midnights has only left the top 5 for 2 weeks in Ireland (one week at #7 and another at #6) while spending 8 weeks at #1. In the UK, Midnights has left the top 5 for 8 weeks (1 week at #6, 3 weeks at #7 and 4 weeks at #8) while spending 5 weeks at #1. For the re-recordings, Fearless TV has spent 31 weeks on the Irish chart while only 10 weeks in the UK. Red TV has only left the Irish chart for 3 weeks while it has spent 12 weeks periodically off of the UK chart. Kinda random, but if you're a chart nerd like me you might find it interesting.

Thank you both for confirming that Midnights is in fact a perfect nighttime album and everyone who says "oMg the songs don't fit the title like at all" is proven to have broccoli in their ears
FolkLover1989 Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Matty is permanent now it seems I hate this so much my god Can this man already leave
IBeMe Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 It's a CRIME that Folklore and Evermore only got 1 single each...I know the songs would have prob underperformed as singles but I still would have wanted more visuals. Those albums needed more mvs and stuff like if she were to every do a visual album it should have been for those two
