I get it's supposed to be funny but imagine 10 years from now looking back at your memories/pictures from this tour you attended and you and all your friends chose outfits centered around the man she probably only dated for a few months in 2023 instead of relating to the actual artist you like. :rip:

Oh wow you have amazing taste. I thought I was the only one that genuinely LOVES it’s time to go.

Country music promoter and veteran manager Jerry Bentley doesn’t care much for the prospects of most teenage singers.

In the business more than 30 years, he’s seen plenty of teenage careers crash, and he had some tough advice for the latest contender, 16-year-old Taylor Swift: “Tell her to get back in school and come back and see me when she’s 18, and bring her parents,” said Bentley, who’s managed singer Lee Greenwood for 23 years. “Even if she were 25, the odds would be against her. At 16, it’s near impossible. You have to work 300-plus days for a couple of years, and there’s no guarantee even then.”

Warnings like that don’t faze Swift. When told about Bentley’s advice, she hardly flinched: “I’d like to meet him and sit down and play for him,” she said. Swift may be only a teenager, but she already has the nerves and determination of a steely veteran.

Right where you left me soaks up a lot of that love from the fandom but it’s time to go is equally as captivating if you ask me, and I personally relate to it a LOT. :gaycat6: whew it hits hard.

Speak Now and evermore having 10 songs is sending me but I get it because I had to trim those and folklore down :deadbanana2: Seeing your list has me upset I missed a few. I love Carolina and Renegade. False God & Miss Americana. Should’ve Said No. OURS!!! I didn’t even think about it but it was my first bonus track of hers that I loved :chick3:

Reading these lists it’s just INSANE how strong her discography is. I really, REALLY hate that (ignorant) people only know her for WANEGBT, Bad Blood, IKYWT, 22, Shake It Off, LWYMMD, when these songs aren’t even in her top 100 songs when it comes to quality  :deadbanana4: (trouble and 22 could sneak that high just based off of iconicness but not based on quality alone!)

Ughhh... I stg I wish these songs could be erased from existence because of that.

At least, lately it seems new songs are coming for classic status: Blank Space, Anti-Hero, cardigan, Don't Blame Me, Lover, Cruel Summer, All Too Well and Enchanted. OUT the average pop songs. :clap3:

Exactly exactly :clap3:

I love the production as well, the little guitars in the outdo remind me a lot of early 00s/late 90s country pop songs ala Faith Hill’s Breathe. It deserves a lot more attention.

The fact that she has 4 albums in the US Spotify top 10 is just absolutely nuts… like what even

Damn, so close to 80M. On Fridays she usually goes down but at this point I don't even know what to expect.

Huh? wasn’t She at 70 mil just last week? I thought the hype would’ve died down by now,  MAWMA:bibliahh:

Someone needs to write a book about this unhinged fandom, lmao. The plots and the comical twists crack me up every time.

These ladies are looking like clowns. You are going there to make good memories, not this.

I think yes but they’re an investment firm, all costs of production will be on them + marketing and retail deals.

I guess they don’t want the “hassle”.

Taylor’s power is license to media use. Maybe @beagle knows the correct answer.

Re-issue of physicals is actually negotiable, so it is not something we can know for sure. But a reasonable guess is that the holders of the recording rights - currently Shamrock - can have new copies of the old albums pressed and distributed, but not issue brand new collections (i.e. "Taylor Swift - the Golden Hits" CD/LP). And, obviously, they can't issue any previously unreleased material without Taylor's consent.

Question...?.mp3 of my own: how was the pricing for Lover Fest East/West? Looking at the insane resale prices/demand for the upcoming concerts, I began wondering how much demand for Taylor live has exploded, since I don't recall hearing much, if anything, about the extortionate prices for Lover Fest and that was just 4 shows in the US. Now it's 52 and demand far outstrips supply.

Thank you sis! Sorry I can’t help with ticket price range of what could’ve been her worst tour. Maybe @ksmith can help.

FYI @TheHiveMind from that FraUd thread.

Since Shamrock only bought the masters (and not the label), I imagine they’d also end up needing to work with a record label to handle production, distribution, etc. There’s no way it’s worth any of the hassle and cost to do that in comparison to the bad press any label would get for playing along + minimal sales since Swifties largely wouldn’t support them.

I think all these investment companies (as in Hipgnosis etc) are purely focusing on making passive income by purchasing catalogues. They have a perpetual income stream from streaming without having to lift a finger, and they make money when hit songs are licensed to commercials etc. I think there’s also a big financial incentive with how many songs are straight-up recycling old songs right now (Super Freak, Glamorous, etc). If they own any of those older songs, they get income from the old song and the brand new hit.

So eloquent as always sis
