It is actually SO common for white women to be liberal and have gay friends yet they go home to a man that wants to deny basic human rights to LGBT folks. If you go to any suburb you will very likely find this demographic, people who are very performative and engage in white feminism, which is actually detrimental to the social movement. Again, I cant believe this conversation has evolved into some users trying to defend performative white feminism

She has expressed political and social opinions when she has wanted to (although she was kind of forced too due to people linking her with Trump and nazis with no proof) and I couldn't care less about if she does it again or not. But now that you mention it those statements in the documentary were a mistake, because some people really understood that she was going to become some kind of activist and speak on sociopolitical issues. I wish she never said anything or adressed it in a less significant way, because it certainly did not further her career and only creates problems. She should have always focused in the music only.

 

And regarding to the white feminism, yes, she is a white feminist and a narcissistic. She even tells you that in Anti-Hero. It's not a matter of if I defend her or not. I'm fine with it, though.

Lowkey think he’s gonna be on TS11 unless they fall through before that comes around. Or perhaps they’re working on some other project. I wouldn’t really mind 1989 vault tracks… or maybe we’ll finally get the Midnights stuff he worked on. I’d like to hear it, especially if it happens to be alternate versions of some songs we already have.

I would be fine with any criticism aimed at Taylor if it weren't made by people who Stan pop girls who have done way worse things than Taylor's far in between tone deaf moments . I hear a lot of 1975 throughout Midnights in general, at least based on what I’ve heard from them (I haven’t deep dived into their discography lol)

 

To me it sounds a bit like 1975’s music produced in the classic style of Jack Antonoff. Idk if that makes any sense but anyway. Still need to check out their last album produced by him, maybe it sounds similar.

You'll have to deal with it, I'm not the one living in delusion and projecting my beliefs into a white millionaire woman who lives in a completely different world (and that's the same for the rest of celebrities, the ones doing performative activism and the ones not doing it). I'm not from the US and probably I don't understand anything but I know half of that country is voting for Trump and his adjacents, so being white feminist is being more decent than, at least, half of the country, so you should reevaluate your expectations.
