19SLAYty9 Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Disease is her best lead since BTW. I think her team doesn't care about its performance.
Hair Posted October 27 Posted October 27 If only Richy was still involved, maybe he would have leaked some info for us

If this is all her and her team can execute then it's right off a cliff side from here and going forward. Ugh I'm so annoyed. It's lowkey embarrassing She will get a #1, unless Kendrick releases the same week.

Unless you're Taylor Swift or a K-Pop group like BTS, your hardcore fanbase can only push a song but so high up the charts. We're really doing all we can. I mean, honestly, if she would put up a CD single, cassette, and vinyl of the single on her website, then drop a gimmicky EP on DSPs featuring an a cappella, instrumental, and extended mix (maybe even a sped up + slowed version), then each dedicated stan could literally multiply their sales x8. But we can't - we can only buy the song once and stream it. The strategies I've listed are just the standard these days, nothing extraordinary. I'm not a little chartster and don't care about chart success at the end of the day, but you can't blame the Stans for this one. I'm sure we'd do more if we could. 7

The song is doing well relying on mostly fan support tbh. 4.4M on Spotify shows she still has a strong fanbase that'll be there whenever she drops a pop song they want. Now it's in the GP and managements hands 3

Honey, stans are the only ones backing it. Let's be real; we're not as numerous as we used to be. Jazz and ballads have diminished the fandom; it's not 2010 anymore. We don't have the strength to support a song on our own. 9

thesegayz Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Do you think when Gaga said "I'm pregnant with lg7," she was talking about Michael's l*ad in her poonani? Someone call daddy monster to load our good sis up so she can't get back to being a pop star

Agreed, but The debut numbers show little monsters are still somewhat powerful. Most artists don't get 4.4M debuts. DWAS debuted with similar numbers but grew because the GP embraced it and social media took it to the next level. little monsters might not be as active and engaged as they used to, but Gaga's fanbase is still one of the larger ones. which is why the team needs to embrace the fans and give them the tools to consume the song more 3
shimind Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Saw a post saying Todd Phillips cutting her scenes has really hurt her. That motherfufker will ROT in hell 3
GraceRandolph Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Disease doesn't have that same replay value as a great Gaga song should have tbh 3 1 7
GipJo Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Good morning, good morning! It's 8:30AM in Malibu, Gaga must be awake now, what will she do today for this very normal Sunday? Living her best life with her fiance is my bet. 2

But this half assed attempt to launch new era is irritating. Plus why is her label and her lead single choice always so terrible. why can't they find the most gp friendly song on the album to launch the era. I still remember how furios this base few days ago, because they thought the song wouldn't come in October. Some even threatened to unstan

I am curious to know if they plan on stretching the era out since the album isn't coming until next year. She'll do a promo tweet next month, release the video in December, perform it at the Grammys in Feb. A plan! Please delete before her team gets inspired there's no way I'm allowing the video to be released in a month not called October 1
hellobitchezzz Posted October 27 Posted October 27 The more silent she stays, the more I'm delusionally believing my theory (that was a joke initially) that LG7 is coming Friday and the February stuff is to fake us out. no disease merch, no store update, no video yet, etc. something is up! 2

Anthinos Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Some people here are really overdramatic. There's still a long time until the album. The album won't flop. Even for Disease it's not over yet. She hasn't performed the song yet, hasn't released a music video, etc. The only thing I don't understand is why we got a teaser for the music video but no music video. She should finally break her silence. Enough of this. The song is too good and deserves more. 5

GraceRandolph Posted October 27 Posted October 27 It's clear that she should drop albums all at once going forward, multiple songs as leads, visual albums, or some kind of out of the box strategy. These traditional album rollouts won't work. It's not 2011 anymore. 3
Denim Posted October 27 Posted October 27 they confirmed LG7 lead was coming in October back in August. …I wonder if they would've/wanted to push it back had they not shown their cards? I still think it was a good move. The wait for LG7 was becoming tough, the music is ready, and the teasing cycle was getting long. Plus I'm enjoying the heck out of the song. So I'm very happy that it's out, but I wonder from a strategy perspective if they would've pushed it back after JFAD reception
