Flopped worse than Joker 2 but noone seems to care. It was so obvious the industry wanted to finish Todd or Joaquin and started this hate train. Sadly Gaga seems to effected the most even tho she's innocent in this case. Wait is the movie bad? I was thinking of going to theatres to see it but not anymore I guess

ROARyals Posted Tuesday at 01:57 PM Posted Tuesday at 01:57 PM I dont like this "yall have been asking for dark bawps only to let it flop" narrative Who is yall? Yall is not me. I've been streaming tf out of Disease and I love it immensely. Genuinely dont know why this song ain't blowing up but I'm doing my part 9 1

Positive LG7 reception, positive Wednesday reception, a tour, and hopefully an announcement of a Tarantino film along with a reverse HOG Oscar nom surprise. I think even if there is a small but passionate base for FàD within the industry (Mark Romanek suggested there was) it would most likely coalesce around Todd Phillips himself and I don't think it would be enough for Gaga or Phoenix to overcome that WB has absolutely dropped this as an awards player with other priorities and no one is campaigning; even its easiest route to below the line noms in Score and Original Song have been blanked at precursors. It's possible that Gaga or Phoenix get a sporadic nom somewhere along the way and they may make the longlists at BAFTA but there's just no path for any serious awards contention. It was dead on arrival. 1 1

Before the Dawn Posted Tuesday at 02:06 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:06 PM Did she even do the album shoot already cause it makes no sense to not announce it now, isn't the point of a long rollout to get as many pre orders as possible... 1

Hair Posted Tuesday at 02:16 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:16 PM Are the Spotify numbers delayed because Disease is back in the top 100?
Namiskine Posted Tuesday at 02:17 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:17 PM I'd argue Disease is suffering from a lack of exposure and could definitely be a hit if heavily promoted (but we know it won't happen, and that's fine). The quality is there and it resonates with everyone listening to it. That's why it increased a lot on callouts this week: his low score is only due to a lack of popularity. I have yet to find someone in my entourage that doesn't like it tbh - they're either not aware or loving it. 6

It rising 8 spots suggests more people are hearing it and liking it. I think it needs time more than anything. 7

I think you will be right about LG7 reception at least. The same thing happened with Chrom. There was no hype from a lot of former/sleeper monsters until release week when then they switched because the album was good. She might not be the highest selling, but she is more of an album artist than before I think.
shimind Posted Tuesday at 02:36 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:36 PM Feel like she should work with Mark Ronson again for her next album. One full album just with him as the executive producer. But would he be willing to work with her? 4
