thank you for correcting me.

 

BET wikipedia page showed only top 3, so I manually looked up some selected veteran female artists. I didn't expected Cardi B or Megan to make it this fast

Janet had half of her Billboard awards disappear because the magazine honors folded into the live awards ceremony. She technically has more than 11. Probably every popular big selling artist that debuted before 1990, when they started the physical live ceremony, has more than officially recognized.

Thank God Taylor stopped doing country so Carrie can dominate the favourite female country artist category - because only 2 of them won this category since 2007 (except 2020 because Carrie took a break):

 

2007: Carrie

2008-2013: Taylor

2014-2019: Carrie

2020: Maren Morris

2021: Carrie

AMAs and BBMAs nominate according to Billboard’s highest consumed artists in each of their eligibility periods, but the difference between them is that AMA are fan voted while BBMA aren’t and give the award to the most consumed between them (this applies to artists/albums/songs...)

Very interesting. Billboard Music specifically awards on chart based merits. I was told Beyonce only won sympathy awards because she's black and there's no competition.

Well, according to Billboard, Taylor has 25 and Beyonce 13 as solists.

 

Even when you combine with DC and The Carters, Taylor Is the most awarded BY BILLBOARD. Told by themselves.

This is why awards mean nothing at the grand scheme of things. Madonna, the most impactful woman in modern music is hardly on the list.

I was really confused what to do with Bey/DC/Carters, in the end I decided to add them up. And I counted 27 for Beyonce on her wikipedia page
