Got this saved for November ❤️

The obsession :deadbanana2:

You literally can count it yourself and you can see how unrealistic your prediction is.

:rip:
Adele is doing 3M on the year-end, no way Morgan will achieve that

baby girl, get your facts straight. the 2022 YEC tracking period started in the 1st week of november so 30 is already confirmed to top the YEC with at least 3M copies sold :gaycat5: don't you know how billboard works? 30 was not even eligible to chart in the YEC for 2021 :bibliahh: at least do your research before thinking you're doing something.

Billboard’s YE period starts the first week of December and runs until the final week of November.

What you’re saying is essentially correct, but the tracking period doesn’t start the first week of November.

Anyhow, ”30” was never going to top the 2021 YEC with 2/3 weeks of eligibility, of course, unless she debuted with numbers close to “25” and that simply wasn’t happening.

Those were the tracking periods of some of the most recent years actually:

2019: (Nov. 24, 2018 - Nov. 16, 2019)
2020: (Nov. 23, 2019 - Nov. 14, 2020)

And it has been confirmed that the tracking for the 2022 YEC started during the 30's release week so none of 30's sales were counted for 2021.

Wrong.

The first week dated December is the week of November 19th when 30 got released. So yeah 0 week counted for the YEC on billboard 200, in fact all of 30's chart run will count for next year.

Oh!

Indid not know the tracking week started so early in November. It never used to be this way - I wonder what’s changed?

Thanks for this.

In that case, “30” will top the 2022 YEC unless Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Drake (he’s dropping again), Beyoncé or some other artist (ie. Morgan Wallet - he’s rumoured to be releasing this year too) surpass her.

Her numbers are massive. You can’t expect her to beat out every person with any project she ever releases. Any artist would be feeling on top of the world if they were matching 30’s success right now. Just cause it’s not 21 or 25 success doesn’t mean she’s flopping… Adele’s getting older, the music consumption environment is always changing, the sound of music is always changing; the fact that she can still get the numbers she has with 30 is an amazing feat honestly.

Fun fact : had 25 been released just ONE week before it's original release date, it woud've topped the 2015 Billboard YEC, but instead it was released in the first week of the new chart year.
