Coldplay's album before Music of the Spheres was very experimental and went platinum nevertheless, France really hates her tbh

Coldplay have a massive following earned throughout over a decade there, Taylor had a successful two-single run in the 1989 era and nothing more to make herself a household name in France lol

She didn’t even get a full audience for that. Radio stations gave out trips to Paris with tickets to the concert as prizes for calling in and apparently some people took the trip and ditched the show. 
 

To fill the space they just gave wristbands to random swifties camped outside  (source: I know someone and their friends who got in because of that)

 

Imagine wasting the only live concert performance of Cornelia Street and DBATC on the parisians who literally dgaf about her
