What album? When did this come out? Where’s the lead single? Is she still with J Records? :chick1:

J Records hasn’t existed since 2011 :rip:

you're going to hell for this :bibliahh:

OT: the album would get top 10-20 outside of the christmas season, her label is dumb

Her previous album "Alicia" debuted at #4 last year. All her previous 7 albums are top 5 hits.

What happened?? :toofunny3:

Alicia had tour bundles counting. Simple. IT bombed.

The actual numbers are not that much lower than Alicia was it? (1/2)

It was just a more competitive period.

In anycase its clear she's past pulling any kind of great numbers, and she made no effort to push this album.

Alicia debuted with 50k but it was a lot of tour bundles.

To think she had the best selling album of the year with Elements

Sad but

1. She released during Christmas

2. It had no hit whereas ALICIA had Underdogs

3. Did it have physicals?

… Get ready for this to be a common occurrence for all legacy acts that didn’t establish themselves with a streaming base :rip:

Alicia also had "Show Me Love" which is an Urban AC hit (her core fanbase)

This album had no AC hit (like Underdog) or Urban AC hit (like "Show Me Love")

It's bound to flop

I remember when EVERYTHING she did turned to gold

Yup. And it was artistic excellence.

It's that swizz beats karma, me fears :lakitu:

She gave me diary, go ahead and my boo so she served her purpose :heart2:

anyway she needs to release "Like Water" to HAC and AC asap !

let "Best of Me" run its course on Urban AC then follow up with "Is It Insane (Unlocked)" on that format

Her fanbase abandoned her after Girl On Fire and the Tidal fiasco. She’s really talented but Gen Z doesn’t use her.

If she released this in November or January it would've been Top 10. What was her team thinking? :rip:

Im a big fan of Alicia 2000s albums and still casually check out for her new release and i forgot about this release cause Christmas is so busy.

This thread remind me to check this out.

The position is bad but the number itself is ok all things consoder, Christmas, no physical..

She always does the same thing : the album has to be out in November or December to capitalise the Xmas’ madness but things have changed, nowadays Xmas music is all over the charts.
Anyway 20k is good.
I remember someone in the album’s thread saying there were physicals coming?

everyone has  to  flop  at  some  point  in  their  career  and  i  think  it's  okay.  Plus  streaming  really  did  those  00s  artists  very  dirty.

The 20k figure isn't THAT bad all things considered. She could've had a cute top10 entry any other month of the year.

Those numbers are going to be the new normal for many pre-digital era girls so get used to it. :rip:
