REM-EMBERING 2021 ⭐

Idk why it feels random to me that of all the groups to gravitate towards, it seems you chose Weki Meki. They're fun! Just I wouldn't think of them as a "New to K-Pop? Start here!" kind of group. I see you're also a fan of...La Di Da. ? I can get why others like it, but it never hit me in the same way. Still, happy for Everglow and their success.

I don't have much to say about your movies/tv show section since I don't watch much of it myself, but I want to say I like seeing that on your lists anyway. It shows the level of thought you put into these each year!

Oh bitch LA DI DA was a MOMENT last year so glad you started right with the masterpieces :clap3:

Remi Wolf was a cute discovery for me too this year so you might see an appearance from her on my list :fan:

Yep, it was on a ton of lists and :jamming: If only it came out a little later, it would've qualified for this year's list & maybe even snatched a top 10 spot there as well. Yesss Remi should be appearing everywhere, she's great :date:

Don't worry, I feel the same way :oh: I think I was exploring YT recommendations from the LA DI DA video and that's how I got introduced to them and peeked at a few others. But technically K/DA is the group that opened my eyes the most. LA DI DA is a banger there's no way I couldn't enjoy it :jamming:

I alwotta show some love to all the things I loved this year, not just music! :gaycat2:

Oh! :gaycat3: I thought Coraline was gonna be creepier & better, honestly :matty: asfihifj I love messy video game cutscenes like that :deadbanana2:

When I got into Weki Meki I was surprised to see that they don't really have a big audience, it's definitely random that they're one of the first groups that caught my attention.

Well it appears in this update below but unfortunately it didn't make the main EP list :frown:

The Spirit Room is excellent & nostalgic! People can say what they want about the other 2, they have great songs but could've been stronger overall.

There's plenty of classics I've missed out on :keir: Both were on my watchlist for a looong time, sometimes I'm a bit slow to get through it yup

Hmmm I never got any Dua vibes from it, basically just sounds like the K-Pop version of Blinding Lights for me......... and I can't complain!!!

Last Year Was Weird Vol 3 and The Walls Are Way Too Thin being snubbed (emphasis on the latter) :shakeno:

Sweet Dream was your favourite song from In The Meantime? I think it was my least favourite :toofunny2:

I Didn't Change My Number, Hot N Heavy and Lessen the Damage are all great songs :clap3:

4:15, Wild Side, Call on Me, F.U.C.K. :clap3:

Faye’s album was a little samey, but I liked some songs

Never listened to AJR because too many people kept saying it was bad lol, I liked Ordinaryish People though

Cinema and Chemtrails were probably my favorites from the ones that didn’t make it, Lonely People is one of the few songs I can remember from Demi’s lol

No huge losses in singles, the only ones that could’ve been semi high for me are Cheers, Chemtrails and Love Again (and maybe Your Power)

Violent Delights didn’t make it? :shakeno:

Dont Go Dark was good too probably one of the few memorable tracks from that album.

EPs: good picks for the cute section. Not Holly and Meghan in the bottom though!

Albums: Yeah I wasn't huge on too many of these either. St. Vincent and Faye deserved more though, they're both growers :lakitu: the bottom five is some scurry shit…

Aly and AJ and Poppy getting entries in the songs :clap3:

So much excellent choices that I'm a bit mad they are out at this stage already  I don't even know which ones to focus on, cause a lot of these artists will make appearance on my list :dies:

But I'm absolutely shocked to see Cape God Deluxe in the underwhelming section, it highly elevated the album for me and every song is a stand out

01. Remi Wolf 'I'm Allergic to Dogs!' (EP) [2020]

most notably yumi zouma's album and kailee's EP :jonny: the former is so damn good and it's only grown on me since last year. Dying to Live making the top 5 for songs, def a highlight!

as for things that missed your list: CINEMA by The Marías was robbed!! and ELIO's remix album seems adequately placed, since it didn't offer anything new
