They were out because the Top 100 will follow a one-song-per-artist rule, with the exception of one track. Had not been for this rule, most of the 120-101 songs would have easily made the Top 50, but there wouldn't have been much variety on the final list. Soon I'll release a Spotify playlist, though some songs are not on said platform. Anyway, it's replying time! Around 250 albums from 2021 were listened to (a few from 2020), out of which only 138 managed to get a score. I considered albums with at least 30 scrobbles (around 2 to 3 plays) throughout the year. How do I rate them? Each track gets a score from 1 to 10. Then the sum gets divided by the number of tracks and finally that number is multiplied by ten. Example: John Smith - The Original Album Track 1: 8 Track 2: 10 Track 3: 8 Track 4: 9 Track 5: 10 Track 6: 9 8+10+8+9+10+9 = (54/6)10 = 90/100 What does the final score mean? It goes like this: 71-75: Listenable, but not really replayable 76-80: Decent 81:85: Good 86-90: Very good 91-95: Outstanding 96-100 Masterpiece All in all, hitting the 80-point barrier is quite easy. However, it's very hard to pass the 90-point barrier, let alone 95. #140.
