Good morning, everyone. 

 

Welcome to my thirteenth YECD. It has been a quieter year than 2020 musically-wise, but still. There have been many good songs and albums throughout this year.

 

In addition to both 2021 CDs, I will continue with the 2010s countdowns. Last year I revealed my 200 favorite albums of the 2010s. This year, I will reveal my Top 200 songs of the 2010s (2010-2019). Yes, I know there is no such a thing as year 0, but just for the sake of keeping up with the musical tradition, we'll keep it like that. 

 

This year, my five most listened music generes have been indie rock, dreampop/shoegaze, indie pop, neo-psychedelia and post-punk in that order respectively, so expect them to dominante most of this year's lists.

 

This year will feature the following countdowns: 

 

• Top 10 EPs of 2021
• Top 100 albums of 2021 (+ close calls)
• Top 100 songs of 2021 (+400 close calls)
• Top 200 songs of the 2010s
