This is honestly one of my favorites kpop songs. There’s something very sensual and sultry about this song that I love and the chorus is so dancey and catchy! This is great k pop yeah

 

BoA - ONE SHOT, TWO SHOT

Wait i love the way this came after the other song, they have a similar vibe and i kinda loved the flow :minho: this one is very cute! it’s serving abercrombie music a bit but i like it overall. very disclosure ish

 

aespa - black mamba

THIS IS WHERE ITS AAAAT!!! :dittodumptruck: i love this song, it’s super fun and the production is very cool. I love the progression of the track. The climax during the bridge

 

IU - Jam Jam

i’m not gonna lie, this has some interesting elements but i kinda hate her voice dksfjhgjsd but the production is very nice and i would dance to this at a club

 

f(x) - 4 walls

this is fun, i know they’re legends but i’m not the biggest fan :/ uhm, it feels like the song has a lot of transitions in such a short amount of time that it doesn’t let me get used to any of these changes. it will need a couple more listens but it’s a nice bop!

AN EASY #1 AAAAHHHH! the production in the verses, the catchiness in the chorus, the strings and guitar during the BRIDGE!

Another strong entry of hers! this is more lounge music but i really enjoy it, very different to the other entries. I think i like caffeine better but this one is also really good!!

 

YUKIKA - SOUL LADY

this is really nice! very brezzy and fun, feels like an anime’s main theme but i dig it! i especially love the bridge with the ethereal and pretty feeling vibes <3

 

f(x) - When I’m Alone

ooooooh yes!! this one is better than their other song, this makes so much more sense! it’s super catchy and fun! will get a high placement from me i think, don’t know since i’m liking almost everything :shy:

I really liked the chorus on this one! The verses are pretty forgettable to me, but the chorus is very contagious and it’s suuuuper fun

 

ITZY - WANNABE

I love this song sm! I think it’s the superior itzy song here <3 i find it to be super fun and upbeat. it transports me to a neon tech paradise <3 another #1 contender :grimes:

 

SUNMI - NOIR

This is very pretty as well! This one is less exciting than pporappippam in my opinion, but it’s a strong pop song either way. I don’t know if it has that oomph that a lot of other songs have though, but it’s not bad by any means!!

 

ITZY - ICY

at first i didn’t like it then it grew, and it’s more memorable than other songs in here so you might have made some points! it ended up being super fun and at the end i just wanted to go out and party :shy:

 

TAEYEON, Verbal Jint - I

The chorus here is BEAUTIFUL, but this feature is serving Machine Gun Kelly levels of unnecessary :coma: i'm kinda torn on this one because her parts are great but his feel a little cringey. I might have to listen a couple more times...

CAFFEINE - this was very smooth! I loved the production elements in the chorus. This song is never too much but still kept me entertained throughout. Lovely pick

 

ONE SHOT TWO SHOT - It's cute but pretty forgettable

 

BLACK MAMBA - the drop  turrible im sorry. The rest of the song has a lovely dark dance pop vibe that's actually quite nice but that drop really cheapens the song imo

 

JAM JAM - she sounds kinda bored here so. There are some nice moments in this but it kinda feels at points that she doesn't even wanna be in the booth singing this song so.. I feel like in the midst of some more bombastic songs, this one stands out and imo not for the right reasons

 

4 WALLS - this CLASSICCCCC  the production on this is so far ahead of most k-pop releases, without sticking out like a sore thumb. Very excellent i fear

 

PPORAPPIPPAM - this is quite lovely actually  it felt like a well-paced and crafted song. Very cute

 

J.US.T - this felt.. very repetitive? It kinda reminded me of JAM JAM as well because both songs feel like they drag on for too long but at least Eyedi sounds a little more alive on this. Caffeine kinda blows this out the water tho, as both are smooth but that one is way more interesting

 

SOUL LADY - this was amazing omg   I've been meaning to check her out for so long but I never really got to it but this def reignited my interest. The production on this is so lovely, with some lovely retro touches without ever feeling dated

 

WHEN I'M ALONE - just like the other f(x) song here the production is great! I feel like this one is more streamlined than 4 walls, but 4 walls has some better moments. They're honestly so close, both great songs  

 

VIEW - well props for sending a Man in a game that's normally already dominated by women, and this round esp. That said, I don't like this. This just kinda sounds cheap

 

WANNABE - it's kinda a cheap mess but I enjoyed it so sjsjsj. It's not great but it kept me entertained which not every song this round has to its credit so

 

NOIR - this was also quite lovely! I felt like her other song just had a little more punch but I enjoyed this too

 

ICY - Honestly both WANNABE and this are so messy sjsjs but they both kept me entertained so i'm not that mad. I feel like this one was a little more streamlined and its messiness made more sense so! Not bad

 

I - the rap part in this is very turrible, but the rest of the song is quite pretty, perhaps bordering a bit on corny but I don't mind it now

Aespa - Black Mamba - this is another aespa bop that had to grow on me! i love it now ^^ ahhh, its so good and i cant wait for their mini album!!
