What is this supposed to be?  The most successful female artist from each generation since the 80s? Shouldn't that be Taylor instead of GaGa then?

I think they mean the biggest debuts and peaks of their generation. Gaga’s debut was the biggest of her generation, and her peak is only rivaled by Adele. Was Britney even the biggest seller of her generation? She was definitely the biggest debut.

I believe Britney is the biggest seller of her generation yes, in terms of album sales at least
