Her debut album is bound to break some streaming records:deadbanana2: This is MASSIVE for a promo single with little to no push. I fear for the other girls, I really do.

J Cole's album has 12 songs shouldn't she be #13?

Shes already cementing her US power holy sh*t and she isnt even pandering to the rap/hiphop market.

Once she gives us her Future Nostalgia era its OVER for the girls.

One of J cole’s Tracks appears twice because of an error splitting streams for the clean and the explicit version

How is it a promo single when it was released with a video, massive playlisting and is getting pushed on radio? It's very much the third official single off her album dropping next week.

Its not being pushed on radio so far and #21 on TTH is not "massive playlisting".

it doesn't have massive playlisting (deja vu is still like 10 spots higher on TTH) and it is not being sent to radio (for now)

Yes, but it won't just be a promotional single. It's got good enough playlisting and it'll definitely rise into the top 10 on Spotify's Today's Top Hits playlist as the tracking week goes by. It also debuted at #2 on the New Music Friday playlist and it got good playlisting on Apple Music.

I can see her label not wanting to push it fully on radio right away after doing that with drivers license and deja vu (which are both less than 5 months old and are both in the top 50 on radio currently) but they didn't finance a high budget video and release this song right before the album to not eventually give it the full single treatment.

Great numbers for her though. This had a bigger debut on Spotify + YouTube than both drivers license and deja vu. It should debut in the Hot 100 top 10.

we also had this discussion on the single thread, but the original thread got deleted. there was just a tweet saying it looks like it would be a "promotional single". but of course we want it to be a proper single, and after seeing these numbers, they'll push it now. she'll perform it on SNL too so it will be sent to radio without a doubt now.

My thoughts exactly. This is having a better start than her last 2 singles. There's no way it doesn't get pushed as the third official single.
