I guess you also saw that OCC does not credit it as a Lady GaGa album (it factually isn’t a studio album, nor solo) but we’re choosing selective reading today I presume :celestial5:

OT: The one that has more platinum albums, more top 10 hits and a bigger cultural impact in the UK! It’s Britney, bredren

They do credit Shallow and Always Remember Us This Way as her singles. And both tracks were released as promotional singles off of the A Star Is Born soundtrack.

Now we won't consider A Star Is Born as a Lady Gaga album because OCC labelled it as "Original Motion Picture" when virtually 99.9% of the soundtrack is sung by her? Make it make sense, Britney fan. :gaygacat1:

I don’t make the rules. Take it up with the OCC.

Ok sis, whatever makes you sleep at night. Let's all pretend A Star is Born is not a Lady Gaga album and Bradley Cooper is the reason why it turned out to be a success. :gaycat2:

When Gaga's face is on as much merchandise, worldwide, if ever - we'll come back and discuss this foolishness then.

Britney's legacy remains totally unbothered. It was because of that legacy, that a Gaga can even exist in the first place.  I mean c'mon. Ya'll cant be this deluded.

But this thread says who is the bigger UK icon. So ASIB - smash movie and smash soundtrack - counts as part of her iconography. Just like Britney being nationally dragged for her 2008 X Factor performance counts as part of the way she is publicly perceived in the UK (not a respected icon).

99/100 people in the UK would know Britney

90/100 would know Lady Gaga

Britney's highest certified era is BOMT which is 4x platinum, and she has a handful of multiplatinum albums including Oops (3x platinum) and Greatest Hits (3x platinum)

Gaga's "The Fame" is Diamond or close to it, Born This Way was 3x platinum, and "Poker Face", "Bad Romance" and "Shallow" stomped on the UK Decade Charts for 2000s and 2010s, BOMT and maybe Scream & Shout were the only Britney hits that were similar in size to those hits

So Gaga

Gaga for sure. :clap3:

that nobody will remember in 2 months a la "The Cure" or "Million Reasons".

Also, it's kinda funny that you're trying to tell us Million Reasons got forgotten after 2 months when people seem it to remember it more than Britney songs that y'all claim "cult classics" or her worldwide hits from the physical era, including in the United Kingdom. :rip:

Yesterday Spotify streams:

Million Reasons - 253,347

-

Work Bitch - 146,415

Criminal - 144,113

I'm a Slave 4 U - 119,246

If U Seek Amy - 99,750

Sometimes - 74,658

Lucky – 73,534

Stronger - 71,802

Piece of Me - 69,463

Crazy - 65,626

Till the World Ends - 64,506

I Wanna Go - 63,373

Everytime - 54,980

3 - 52,195

Overprotected - 34,915

Me Against The Music - 27,918

I'm not a girl, not yet a woman - 27,168

Hold It Against Me - 26,570

Born To Make You Happy - 24,686

From the Bottom of my Broken Heart - 11,159

No wonder y'all always rely on BOMT/Oops/Toxic from her early hits. :rip:

99/100 people don't know Britney there. If that was the case she would have multiple #1 albums there lmao.

Britney was at least as big celeb as she was a musician

She is one of the most well known women in the world
