The song is good but it's NOT single material at all. It should've been a good album track or a stand-alone single since it doesn't fit the album sonically. They thought attaching Ariana to it was enough to make it a hit but it's not how it works. If they wanted a hit they should've made a pop banger like Bang Bang but good, to somewhat fit both of their styles.

Dua is the current queen of pop. Of course she’s gonna get tons of playlisting. Even with that she actually does better globally on AM.

Ari has a lot of flops featured singles before: Popular Song, Adore You, Boys Like You, Over and Over Again, Heatstroke, Dance To This, Quit, Bed etc.

Exactly, Ariana helped but does not work miracles. Met Him Last Night still had the best performance of the album thanks to her 

Being at TTH having a maximum peak of #13 on release day and having few playlists beyond that, all in low positions, is the same as nothing. The record company furthermore didn't even send to many radio stations. 

 

Unfortunately, because the song is great and deserved to be a hit.

Honestly Demi ruined her own career by being insufferable. I used to like her but after all she went through she still managed to be an asshole. The vaccine thing was the nail on the coffin

Don't you guys see? All songs with "feat. Ariana" so far didn't smash because ppl think she isn't equally involved in the project. However, all songs with "& Ariana" always smashed because ppl think she's equally involved.
