Can the RIAA/Taylor step in on their own or are we at the mercy of the people who bought them and have 0 incentive to certify them? :rip:

Dont care about certification.

With Billboard confirmed this number. Swifties can tell everyone Taylor had two diamond albums in the US.

Wonder what Red, Speak now and Debut number at

Taylor Swift, 'Fearless'

Plus: She's the first woman with three new No. 1 albums in less than a year.

More than 12 years after Taylor Swift notched her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart in 2008 with her second studio set Fearless, she’s back atop the list with a re-recorded version of the album, titled Fearless (Taylor’s Version). The new set is her ninth No. 1 and scores the biggest week of 2021 for any album. It launches with 291,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending April 15, according to MRC Data.

What are WW numbers like? Does anybody know?

It depends on the source but definitely 20-25 million. According to HDD it was at 22 million as of December 2018, and its recurrent stats have been increasing rapidly, so yeah 25 million would be a safe bet. It’d be nice if IFPI or another organization started giving updates for all big albums’ total worldwide units, instead of just the top 10 yearly albums.

if i'm not mistaken, apart from the label only the artists themselves can request for certifications, but i don't think taylor gives a f*** :deadbanana2:

the fact that she did this SIX years after doing it in 2008 in a much worse sales climate :bibliahh:

Taylor or Shamrock should certify it. I think she doesn't care about it now. She probably cared before 2016 but now, she only cares about the more important things in her life.

Maybe she would buy the Diamond certificates in conjunction of 1989 TV release for publicity.
