Both artists kicked off the era year before, but they were afraid to put out the album in hope of bigger hit 2. Labels already wasted lot of money, and by the time actual era started. They couldn't invest anymore in playlistings or playlist curators just said "Enough". 3. And now both albums opening with similar numbers. Although i find Demi debut to be more impressive because Katy is a bigger name and she got better playlistings comparatively. But in the long run, Never Really Over was a hit and will help the smile to scan Gold certification.
