Why is ATRL so determined to deny MR is a hit?

The NERVE to make this comparaison. “Sail” literally sold 6.3M pure sales in the US, it has almost 600M streams on Spotify, over 500M views on YouTube and spent 79 WEEKS in the hot100. MR only sold 1.3M and spent 20 weeks on the charts :toofunny2: One is CLEARLY bigger and more of a hit than the other, both by Billboard chart methodology and by pure sales numbers + streaming numbers.

MR is a flop, give it up Deelishis.

The point (which flew over your head) was simply that chart runs aren't everything and judging a song purely on that basis is idiotic, not that Million Reasons is anywhere near as big as Sail. :toofunny2:

The shocking calibre of reading comprehension on ATRL... I repeat: WORMS.

You made literally ZERO points because looking at “Sail”’s chart run, no one would say it’s a flop. It went top 20 and spent 79 WEEKS inside the Hot100. Second longest charting hit in history. Your comparison was a mess to begin with.

So it gained ~100m streams on Spotify in 2020 because of the Superbowl in 2017 or Carpool Karaoke from 2016? Or the iTunes discounts? :ahh:

I would expect a year long promo cycle which included performances at the Super Bowl, Grammys, AMAs, SNL, VSFS, X Factor, Carpool Karaoke to have some sort of long-term impact, yes. Well, not that the song is anywhere to be found on the Apple Music Top 1500 of any countries at the moment, though.

Gaga's biggest streaming platform is Spotify as evident by her gaining an impressive 3.3 billion streams in the past year. Is Million Reasons still averaging about the same as Rihanna's 9 week #1 hit from the very same year?

Delirious

I mean close to me by Ellie is eligible for 3xplatinum and it was dropped in late 2018...so we would consider close to me a smash hit then?

Not monsters comparing MR to songs with more than 1B of streams or diamond certifications when MR is not even that.

Because the monsters are determined to deny NRO being the even bigger hit.

it's not even close but nice try!

youtube

Million Reasons (Official Music Video) 250M

Never Really Over (Official Video) 136M

Million Reasons (Official Audio) 102M

the fact that NRO barely outviewed Million Reasons audio. Mess :deadbanana4:

Comparing the video released 3 years after MR when YT was still at its peak. :rip: Why don't you compare it with CTTR's stat? Yeah, right!

Million Reasons also outsold NRO like 3x and outstreamed it on Spotify even though it came out when Spotify wasn't that big. It's not close :)

MR was released when digital sales were stronger also SB, 1653824797 promos and 3 years ahead but only to outstream a song performed in the toilet by 36M. That's so close

Million Reasons didn't have Today's Top Hits residency like NRO yet it still outstreamed it on Spotify :)
