2020. The year that made us focus, disassociate, come to terms with and ignore reality. It made us passionate! Engaged. Nervous. Terrified.

But most us all, it made us stay at home ... hopefully.

And, if you were like me, you listened to music to get through it all.

A lot of it.

So here, as chosen by quite a few of you, are the top 50 +1 songs that made you understand - or just withstand - the year a little better.

Ready for Dua x Jessica SWEEP [2]

Ready for Spotlight to win its 500th SOTY title in this section alone

I can't say I'm expecting a lot of surprises but hopefully it's all in a nice order :alexz3:

I would prefer SAK after WYP?/Soul Control but the girlies love Spotlight more, it's just a fact!

As much as I loved bby gurl in 2012, I just didn't get around to Jessie last year, just never got a chance to sit with her. So I don't know what ya'll talking about  :celestial5:

You know what's funny? I accepted five late/late adjacent ballots. Each time I re-calculated, it always evened out at 51.

Every time. The power of ties!

Of course, in the process, I lost my two favorite singles of the year.... y'all are going to feel my wrath once we get to the close calls!

Wait, this is like the complete opposite for me :skull: Never much cared for Jessie pre-WYP? (not even Devotion, though to be fair, it came out when I was first developing some #taste so maybe I need to revisit it :celestial5:)

We'll start the close calls now - if songs are paired together, it's because they tied in points.

These are the ten songs that just missed... including two that have left me heartbroken.

Chloe x Halle, "Forgive Me"

CHUNG HA, "Stay Tonight"

My number one single of the year is in this block - glad @Tom Vercetti is a fan as well. He was robbed. Robbed!

Ela Minus, "they told us it was hard but they were wrong"

Lady Gaga, "Replay"

Morgan Wallen, "7 Summers"
