Kevin2803 Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 Not you comparing Levitating to The Ketchup Song i never even thought about that. I need to listen to both songs and compare them. It really is a classic tho.
mokitsu Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 ahhhhhh so many classics, but im super glad u highlighted ok crazy from tei shi's ep. i really like the fast paced nature of it and her deadpan delivery because of how it goes with the lyrics and the story of her basically being a demented stalker. but i might reading too much into it because she's not the most emotive singer in general
dreamofyou Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 blinding lights and levitating yuh yuh yuh
Green Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 Blinding Lights and Levitating I don't see anything about Asereje in Levitating though
ATRL Moderator Legend E Posted December 10, 2020 ATRL Moderator Posted December 10, 2020 baby it's automatic blinding lights and levitating too
smholiv Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 blinding lights is pretty inescapable, idk if its my favourite single he's ever done but its almost hard to even try to dislike it.. i feel like its almost universal levitating is interesting! i liked the remix, but weirdly enough its not actually one of my stand outs from the album even though i do like it. did not know about the kali uchis album so i will check that out. shout out to flo milli though :bop:
Post Malone Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 BL a smasha wbk Levitating's verses >>>> period
Ewan Chaos Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 Not Levitating sounding like The Ketchup Song Okay girl. Soul Control literally makes my body shake any time I hear the song. Blinding Lights is flawless and deserves all its success honestly. Love is a Drug is a great pick! Been stuck in my head all day actually haha.
Lazuli Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 stay tonight best kpop song this year and it's only a pre-release soul control, blinding lights, levitating, bops bops BOPS

A bop! I've recently really gotten into it as i didnt care for it (nor its 50 remixes) but we do love it now. The ketchup song comparison has me weak af but beside that its a great choice!
ikiru Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 omg levitating reminded me of the ketchup song as well blinding lights is definitely a song for the ages! aqui yo mando is great! they should do another song together
K$Ellie Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 Kerosene is so good ahhhh, made me think the album would slap but... only hurd Tei Shi recently and she bops Pussycat Doll is great but May I is on another level Levitating a stun Blinding Lights and Soul Control cute Love Is A Drug is good but not my fave on the album Summer Love and Stay Tonight are way too low Come Outside is so funny bc of the adlibs one of my faves on their album
Sunderland 4ever Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 Soul Control has got to be Top 3 on my favorite WYP tracks. Sadly, I did not like Yves Tumor's album, although I'll admit that he blends sounds in a really cohesive way. Aquí Yo Mando has a great beat. I dig it.
TheWayWeWere Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 I just learned about Keresone few days ago and this is ****ing slayage! Soul Control and BL Levitating is nice jam
Reverie Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 You have ruined me with the Ketchup song comparison.....I don't even need to relisten to it to hear it.....
Blue Rose Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 Kerosene! Soul Control! Blinding Lights is more of a 2019 song for me. Thats when I overplayed it. So imagine how much I suffered hearing it everywhere this year PS: Loud Places by Jamie xx
Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 Quote 129. agnes - fingers crossed genre: dance pop, house for fans of: rachel stevens, robyn this is basically an outtake of her last ep? it sounds like it, got a really nice chorus and her powerful vocals fits dance pop amazingly Oh my god i forgot about this song i used to listen to this all the time OMG love not loving you, borderline & august acclaim Quote 96. chung ha - stay tonight genre: future house, kpop for fans of: songs with multiple choruses, edm-style kpop. this song is basically a bunch of choruses stuck together. thats what all the best kpop songs are anyway, and they attach together in a way that builds and builds into a perfectly addicting non-chorus. all parts of the song are equally addictive. This is too low. I demand a RECOUNT!!! Also another the acclaim for superpower, soul control & aqui no mando Blinding Lights and Levitating should be higher. Period
Wicked Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 Are artists gonna make multiple appearances? Great set though, and I prefer the Levitating Remix + Dua got washed on her own song. which tends to happen when you have no personality or charisma.

Beautiful gowns, though. tbh i didn't realize how good the video was until a few days ago. voty? yeah i never do those. tbh, you know me i rarely pay attention to the lyrics so maybe thats my bad. i knew you were an obsessed levitating hater, hopefully you end up chooseing the superior song. 22 hours ago, DoctorIce said: Hallucinate outsold so I'm hoping that one is higher on your list. ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 10, 2020 Author ATRL Moderator Posted December 10, 2020 80. daoko - 御伽の街 genre: hip pop, electropop for fans of: shygirl, bree runway daoko is an extremely interesting artist to me. she seems to be releasing 200,000 projects a year so im never really sure whats considered essential and not, but this single early on in the year really caught my attention. its a nice hip hop/electropop combo thats super fresh sounding. the chanted house-ish chorus is not a by-the-numbers type song. 79. coucou chloe - drop ten genre: """deconstructed club""" for fans of: arca, shygirl ok, her first couple eps show a lot of promise, but it feels like she struggled to merge all of her influences into a coherent sound. that is no longer a problem with the two absolute classics she released this year. this is basically mumblecore meets crunk. its got a nice beat that switches up, and you even get a dog barking it at one point in the song. 78. victoria monet - experience genre: nu disco for fans of: old school blood orange, ariana wouldn't it have been amazing if ariana went down the disco route instead of positions? jk, positions is an amazing album, but it still would have been cool. victoria got hype for working with ariana on tun, and now she released her solo music. experience is a collaboration with sg lewis (who seems to be blowing up) and khalid (who sounds amazing here). it reminds me of ooold decade old dev hynes productions, put into the new era. thats a good thing btw. 77. loona - why not? genre: bubblegum, dancepop for fans of: f(x) finally. finally FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have been waiting for loona to take modern kpop trends and turn it into their quirky cutsey aesthetic and after years of waiting, it finally happened. one of the best sounds that you can do in kpop is have harder hitting verses with cutsey high pitched vocals on the chorus, this is definitely the best thing the giant group has done. ever. and its better than any loona adjacent song with the exception of girl front obv. 76. ela minus - megapunk genre: tech house for fans of: kelly lee owens? omg, yes. i am so glad i discovered this girl. she's got amazing gifts. her songs are pretty simple ideas that just build over time, but what makes them stand out are her chanted, slogan-like lyrics. her lyrics are surprisingly uplifting and confident and make me feel happy. seriously, get into her, the most underrated artist this year imo. 75. love regenerator - live without your love genre: house, acid house for fans of: calvin harris, weeknd yeah am loving the early 2000s techno aesthetic being used in pop music now. PLEASE, can we have more of it in the future? lacey kills the vocals on this song and its definitely the best thing calvin harris has done in a minute or five. 74. bree runway - atm genre: hip pop for fans of: azealia, m.i.a. MISSY! her best guest verse this year, poor dua and madonnas. its got a stuttered, addictive chorus, tons and tons of personality, and i stole this from @Claw but i love all hip hop songs that say "vagina." if they do that you know its gonna be a classic. 73. sufjan stevens - america genre: art pop for fans of: troye sivan this is a 12 minute progressive pop masterpiece. i know the subject matter is trite tbh but i dont care. its very very hard to make a 12 minute song interesting and good but he doesn't waste a single second. 72. bad bunny - safeera genre: hip hop, reggaeton for fans of: music in general ok i lied, THIS is the best missy elliott appearence. any song that samples get ur freak on is a friend of mine. its one of those songs that has multiple 'sections' and feels like a few songs slapped together to some, but it feels like a coherent journey just like what our friend sufjan concocted one position earlier. bad bunny doubters should check out this song to be converted. 71. eartheater - concealer genre: synth pop, art pop for fans of: coucou chloe, arca eartheaters discography is mostly some avant folk that i frankly have a hard time getting into. she has a vision and i respect it, but i guess im just a ***** for synths so with this entry she gave me what i want. if you like "deconstructed club" type music you'd probably like it. its a cute little synth pop mumblecore track with an addictive chorus.
