If you have an issue with it, take it up with this entire forum and stop acting as though it's a term I've coined and am unfairly using against Gaga.  I'm yet to see you take issue with that phrase when it's used against any other MPG discussed on this forum.

 

Also, acknowledging the mediocre success of an album isn't "playing down the success of female artists", it's validly pointing out a fact about a particular album. Step down from your soap box, because you certainly have no place being up there.

I’m seriously wondering when you will realize that we don’t care about what you say and that Chromatica is doing fantastically with 1 top 5 and 1 #1 song from the album

 

the songs are huge success around the world too. Especially in the country you live in UK.

You need to realize that we don’t care. You wasn’t understanding it hence the amount of your posts. Your hard work ended up reaching nothing. Chromatica is doing great and it has 2 hits out of it. End topic.

Why are you acting as if the 700k figure is the final one?  The album sold 11k last week, so it's at ~710k now and is expected to sell 15k+ next week. With more promo it will for sure pass the 800k mark by the end of the year.

Sounds like you're misinterpreting what I said and laying your feelings on top of it. Where did I say that was the final figure? I'm talking about where it stands now, which is 700k, or 710k as you've now informed me. I'm sure it will reach 800k and when it does, I'll use that figure instead.

Well, I do agree that this is a disappointing figure so far, but considering Gaga seems to be keen on promoting the album, I can now see it reaching Platinum in the long run and that would be decent.

The album is overproduced, overthought and the songs don't get enough space to breathe with their short running times... I don't like jher weird stuff like Babylon. I prefer straight on bangers like Free Woman and Love Me Right is a cute midtempo.

This is amazing, its selling faster than ARTPOP & Joanne, can’t even imagine how much better it’d be doing with real promo.

These numbers are good and it’s not even been 4 months. She is not selling in the top tier anymore like she used to, but she’s 12 years into her career I mean not everyone can be or has to be Taylor  The fact that she is definitely keeping up with the new crop of pop artists such as Dua Lipa while in her mid-30s is great.

Highly promo'd campaigns (by billion dollar corporations) are hardly side projects. But if you want to put an asterick to that, Gaga has her beat in "side projects" too.

Any non studio album is a side project.  Lady Gaga's last two studio albums Chromatica (2020) and Joanne (2017) have both failed to outsell the "latest effort" by Beyoncé, which is 2016's Lemonade.
