There really is nothing this woman can do to please you guys, is there? 700k in barely 3.5 months is fantastic in today's industry. If Gaga bombed and she's still one of the top 25 best selling records of the year thus far, what does that make literally every other album below hers? 

 

Y'all need to confront whatever is wrong in your heart, bc watching y'all go to whatever lengths necessary to try and constantly prove that she's flopping and underperforming is just ridiculous and exhausting.

The expectations are far from unreasonable, particularly when the VMAs still received over 6M viewers and had a highly anticipated performance with Ariana Grande. To pretend you weren't expecting a bigger bump for the album is incredibly disingenuous, especially considering you've all been stating that the lack of promo was the reason the album was flopping.

It is deflection, because the Hive and Beyoncé have nothing to do with the thread or the topic. We're discussing the lack of impact that the VMAs performance had on Chromatica's chart performance, after the Monsters claimed it was only doing so poorly due to the lack of promo. It's not my argument, it's yours. I understand that you're unable to defend it, but trying to bait me into arguing off-topic with you isn't going to work.

Beyoncé had the biggest promo of all time with it being attached to one of the biggest movie, getting a deluxe version, shooting a MV for ALL THE SONGS and its nowhere near chromatica or Cheek To Cheek.

I said the effect was mediocre and not as good as people hoped for a medley performance, watched live by 6M people and featuring Ariana Grande. These numbers are good and it’s not even been 4 months. She is not selling in the top tier anymore like she used to, but she’s 12 years into her career I mean not everyone can be or has to be Taylor  The fact that she is definitely keeping up with the new crop of pop artists such as Dua Lipa while in her mid-30s is great.

Gaga has been outsold by Halsey and Jhené Aiko.  I'm sorry, but there is a 0% chance that if any other main pop girl was getting outsold by them with their studio albums, they wouldn't be getting dragged. Let's not.
