This power will let you invalidate a ranking from one judge during the next round. You will have the opportunity to read your critiques from all four judges and, before results, choose if you'd like to invalidate one of their rankings for your song. Remember that we do not agree at all times. So this could benefit you if most of the judges loved your song but one of them wasn't really feeling it. Use it wisely. No matter how different we are, we all love music and that's why we're all here. Creating our own lyrics. Our own stories In this challenge, we want you to pay homage to those artists who have inspired you to be the writer, the person you are today. Many artists and bands have had an impact in millions of lives. Whether it was through their emotional lyrics that pulled on your heartstring; maybe they brought you joy through their infectious melodies; you could've found who you are through their uplifting messages; there are millions of ways these entertainers have found their way to our hearts. You will be paying homage to an artist of your choice. And you can choose to do it however you want. Maybe there's a song of theirs where you love the concept but you think you could've made a better job lyrically, you can write a sequel to one of their songs, you can write a song that is inspired by them, you can write a song about them, you can write a song of how they had an impact on your life. There are no boundaries. These are just some ideas but you can come up with your own and surprise us! There is no need to claim artists here. You can choose whoever you want. We will not rate your song based on if we like the artist or not. This is unbiased and we'll focus on your lyrics as always so be true to yourselves! <3 You will have until Tuesday, September 22nd to submit your entry for this first challenge.
