Who calls Beyonce “local” when she’s literally a force in EU, South America and Africa as well as the U.S? I’m pretty sure she has good stats in South Korea also.

!!It’s always so surprising, even more when you consider how LEM and ST were handled and weren’t on streaming for so long. 
My only regret is that her only pop album (well...half pop) is the biggest one on streaming. I love pop but IASF quality is quite under her other records.

A lot here, whether in "jest" or in serious delusion, try to call her success local hence the "localyoncé" lol. It's especially prevalent with stans of women of a certain hue.

I Am... is her most pop album but it certainly isn't the only album of hers with pop songs. Her pop sensibilities never completely leaves her no matter what style of music she's doing. Everything Is Love is maybe the only exception of her career.

 

But I agree that I Am... isn't amongst her strongest albums but it's still sickly produced and it's still one of the most iconic pop girl eras of all time. Its massive streams are no surprise.
