She just isn’t big commercial force in Europe, and never will be and that’s cool.

Just like how Rihanna/Adele/Beyonce will NEVER see or come close to her stats. in China.

Not every Pop Girl is going to dominate every market.

:rip:

Exactly. So what's the obsession with posting about it in every single European chart thread, every single era? We know this and we've know this so it is getting very repetitive. Let Swifties celebrate Taylor's Top 15 debut in France in peace. It honestly sometimes feels like a coping mechanism to deal with the slayage elsewhere :rip:

Some popgirls sell 100k of an album in Europe now, others sell 1.5m in China. Everyone has their markets. No one goes in a Beyonce or Rihanna thread and claims they aren't global superstars because they bombed in Spotify Philippines. Why does it happen with Taylor?

There is literally NO excuse for debuting at #138 with your lead single AND outside the top 10 with your album in such a big music market, so I don't even know why are some people trying it in here :toofunny2: She simply never was a thing in France.

Her fans are aware of that, what are you trying to do? :toofunny3:

The way you constantly regurgitate this!

Because it's the truth? Sorry that it's inconvenient for you to discuss Asian stats :rip:

I don’t understand how she can be referred to as “Global” because she’s big in ‘Asia’ but somehow having poor/underwhelming commercial numbers in one of the most influential and musically impactful continents in the world (with multiple big music markets) is irrelevant?

Her stats. are dead in France and Germany and only satisfactory in the U.K & Ireland.

Top 10 biggest markets in the world as per IFPI:

1. USA

2. Japan

3. UK

4. Germany

5. France

6. South Korea

7. China

8. Canada

9. Australia

10. Brazil

By your own logic, you can't call your fave global because she has "poor/underwhelming commercial numbers" in Japan, China and South Korea then.

So...

Rihanna is BIG in:

UK

FRA

GER

CAN

AUS

BRA

Taylor Swift is BIG in:

CHI

US

SK

JAP

AUS

CAN

So they’re the same level as Global and clearly out-do eachother in particular markets? Is that it?

You literally tried to claim we can't call Taylor global because her stats are underwhelming in some of the biggest music markets as if the same thing doesn't apply to Rihanna :rip: Do you not see the hypocrisy

No. Because for ATRL, Germany and France >>>>>>>>>>> China and Japan

See the problem?

The way LOVER failed to captivate the french even with all the pandering for folklore to smash. :rip:

It's still her highest charting album there tho... somehow :rip:

ot: I don't understand why she performs sooooo poorly there nnn. Like, yeah she performs poorly in other european countries too, but it's so weird. As other people here have said, her pop music isn't exactly less digestible to french audiences than Ariana Grande's, for example. She needs to just ignore them anyways, just like they ignore ha. The fact that she played an exclusive show in Paris last year... :rip:

You having problem with people dismissing China as a major market yet you called France (in fact a bigger market) "local" and "no one cares"

Taylor Swift simply isn’t a force in France and never was and that goes for most of Europe.

Regarding continental Europe, I think Northern Europeans are the most receptive to Taylor's music. At least they gave her surprise release a decent debut:clap3:

folklore:

Norway: #1

Finland: #1

Belgium (Flanders): #1

The Netherlands: #2

Lithuania: #2

Belgium (Wallonia): #3

Sweden: #3

They do, all the time.

#12 is good for Taylor in France. Not far from top 10. Even some very popular pop stars in France don’t have a #1 album here.
