It will be interesting to see if the trends that we have seen historically will hold with this release. Every release from Speak Now to Reputation sold 500K+ on the first day, but those were all with massive promotional campaigns leading up to the release. I wonder if we will see a different distribution of sales throughout the remainder of the week this time around.

But- but- she’s on decline :bibliahh::bibliahh:

But.... those sales won’t count for the 1st week sales then right?

Yes, they won't count on the first week sale but on the week the physical copies are shipped.

“She’s successful but not iconic. Nobody remembers what she wore at the 2009 VMA’s so she has no legacy. Lover is the beginning of the end for Taylor” :bibliahh::bibliahh:

By the way, does it mean Billboard will know who redeemed their copies and who didn't? How are they going to figure this out if someone ordered multiple copies? Through the non-used codes or something?

That is between Nielsen and Republic Records. They must have some database based on codes redeemed or something.

575k actually and WITH preorders :cm:

The preorders obviously pushed it ahead but using these numbers against Lover makes no sense :cm:

Not y’all pinning Taylor’s albums against each other because not a single other artist comes close :eli:
