That user was right, they're aren't official, but they've been pretty close sometimes (the same thing happened with Gaga – they had ASIB at ~5.9M in last August 2019 and than a little over a month later in early October it was confirmed at 6M WW by Gaga in an Insta post).

 

Point is, they are indeed unofficial, but sometimes they're not too far off, so they're a good reference point if you remember you can't use them as an official source.

And that’s what really matters at the end of the day. How accurate and reliable they are. The RIAA is official, but we all know how unrealiable They are.

Exactly....I rather have something that at least somewhat matches up the stats than completely inflated them   and this is because so many artists are undercertified.

 

Adele: 70m records eligible
