Sis...

All of these albums are pre-2015 when ‘pure sales’ were incredibly strong, like @Cain said.

The only artists that have managed to sell 100K+ units since 2016 are Adele and Ed Sheeran and Take That. :rip:

Beyoncé’s biggest debut week was with “Dangerously In Love” which sold 96K units. There’s also “Self-Titled” which had its full week cut off.

Nonetheless, Rowland could have been such a FORCE. The fact that she sold 100K units of her first album in its opening week with her only singles having been “Dilemma” and “Stole”. :deadbanana4:

They HAVE to be. They haven't changed their certification thresholds since the 1960s and they sure aren't now, since their certifications are automatically handed out once the threshold is reached they have to avoid making it too easy to get them.

Lana Del Rey with her DEBUT, Hannah Montana, Anastacia (I know she was very popular back then, but wow!) and Corinne Bailey Rae!

Anastacia has 3 million selling albums in UK and a GH approaching that figure. She was force. If only you could see chart runs of her first 3 albums across the world, if she had US behind her all three albums would've been over 10m sales globally....

Just checked, it's only at 500k, I got it confused with someone else's GH...

Also why is Hannah Montana only certified Gold with a 116k debut :rip:

Her label needs to do better
