I don’t know much about her chart stats and sales figures here, but with my generation at least she’s been well known here since ‘Love Story’.

 

She’s definitely had more mass appeal here since going full pop with 1989, but she was known before that ?‍♂️ 

She's so massive in the USA so her stats outside the states aren't deemed 'global' enough even when they outsell most girls. It's always Europeans that focus on them too, cause she's huge everywhere else.

Only the stan world would argue that the 2nd non-British/Australian female artist booked to headline Glastonbury isn't big in the UK

P!nk is so huge in the UK  Even her flop albums are bigger than other artist's peak.  

Gaga's store was literally shut down for half of the week + she had 0 promo on social media etc. I am sure she would've done even more
