fountain Posted March 3, 2017 Author Share Posted March 3, 2017 (edited) Round #10 - The Dr. Luke Challenge What is Doctor Luke known for, other than abusing people? Repeating his hits. Your challenge this week is to write a song without the use of repetition - as in, no verse-pre-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus formulas this week. You can still have sections to your songs rather than in being one lump of text - and you can still have some minor repetition (eg. you could repeat a line) but no sections which repeat throughout the song such as a chorus would. It's kind of hard to explain, so if you're stuck wondering just ask in the thread or pm me on what I think. Here are a few various examples of what I'm expecting, to make it more clear hopefully: Lights - Portal Christina Perri - Butterfly Coldplay - Every Teardrop is a Waterfall Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody Imogen Heap - Hide & Seek David Bowie & Queen - Under Pressure What I would note from these examples is how different these songs all are. You have ballads, pop, rock, etc. - you aren't stuck in a box at all stylistically. Rules: No repeating sectionsPM your entries to me by this time! If something stops you from submitting on time, ideally keep me updated.
