I can't say I'd listen to it more, but it was fun to hear! Childish Gambino - Redbone - Interesting choice I wouldn't have even thought of. It's not bad but I honestly don't like him that much. Foster the People - Helena Beat - This band always annoyed me for some reason. This song kind of isn't an exception but it is actually a bit enjoyable so not bad as a choice. Harry Styles - Sunflower, Vol. 6 - Adore You kind of grew on me so I debated listening to the rest of his album. This is a decent song, but I feel like it's a bit middling personally. Kali Uchis - Dead to Me - A beautiful, enchanting song, great choice! Kimbra - Teen Heart - This album is kind of underrated. This was a great track from it, maybe a bit long but that's more because I have like no attention span and prefer my songs 3:30 or less. Pond - Hand Mouth Dancer - A new discovery for me. I enjoyed listening to it, but am unsure where I would rank it just yet. Tame Impala - Breathe Deeper - Dreamy and cool. Not my favourite from them but good nonetheless. Tame Impala - Elephant - I considered this at one point! It's a nice track, listening back though I'm starting to have doubts about where I would rank it. U.S. Girls - M.A.H. - I've heard good things about her so I was curious but her voice is really hard to get into for me. Weyes Blood - Andromeda - Yup yup! Not a bad choice either. Childish Gambino - Redbone People really love this song but i'm not one of them. Always found this (and "Awaken, My Love" in general) to be pretty derivative and his vocals are grating. If I were searching for real gems of psych soul i'd just venture around the late 60s and 70s in general. Foster the People - Helena Beat It would be a stretch to consider this to be "psychedelic" in any way. The song itself though was going somewhere until the singing started. Harry Styles - Sunflower, Vol. 6 I don't see it for Harry at all. He's just bland to me. This doesn't appeal to me, sorry. Kali Uchis - Dead to Me This is more synth funky to me than psychedelic. Tomorrow would've fit this round much better imo. With that said, this is a good song in general so i'll give it that. Kimbra - Teen Heat I wish her vocals were more appealing but the production on this serves its purpose and the slight moments of outburst gives the song some spark. Pond - Hand Mouth Dancer Tame Impala's understudy. I'm not attached to anything from their recent album unfortunately. Perhaps if it was a song from Weather i'd be more on board but it's not so yeah, it's middling. Tame Impala - Breathe Deeper I would've been satisfied with this being at four minutes but as someone who usually enjoys long songs an extra two won't kill me. A highlight on a flop album. Tame Impala - Elephant I'm lowkey a purist as I prefer their earlier psych rock sound over the outright poppy stuff so out of the two here, i'm leaning more in favor of this. U.S. Girls - M.A.H. Solid. I liked this more in 2017 but it's listenable still. Weyes Blood - Andromeda Her first good song (and her best too).
